Thinking about blades this year.

I currently bounce between Yururi KM107s and Mizuno MP59s in the bag.

 

Im thinking about hunting down some Epon Personals --and the new Yururi PDGs are also on my radar...

 

Any feedback on the PDGs?

 

Also does anyone have the stock specs on the EPs? I'm having trouble finding them.

 

I appreciate any thoughts or experience here...

The personals are georgous. You might also look at the Yamaha RMS Tour mbs. Very nice looking.

Oh yeah, I've come close to pulling the trigger on those in the raw finish. I wonder if the PDGs will replace them, do you think they'll likely be discontinued?

I keep a set of mp69 and mp54....69 are nice but think I always have a cb with mb set....just 4 when it goes south a bit...am pretty decent ballstriker...

mb is more demanding....miss it a bit and lose yds...when trying to shoot par or few over those shots count...lol

The yamaha personals have FIVE logo graphics on the backside and hosel alone! Avoid them. Decorations get old fast. Go for the cleanest designs on your radar. Those will be more timeless as form (decorations) is always second to function.

Well, I found these Epon's (ignore the Miura box...) and thought I should pick them up given the limited availability... The former owner put in the red paintfill, which I think I'll keep. Not sure how I'll build them out — going to spend some time with a fitter trying a few shaft options.

Also, I am definitely thinking about the Fourteen's later this year — they really caught my eye.

Well, I am finally getting these Epon Personals together...

Went with Nippon Modus3 Tour 130 shafts in Stiff, with Lamkin Perma Wraps in White. Kept the custom red pitfill in the "E" from the previous owner. They're 3/4" over standard and 3.5* flat from stock. (Hockey sticks, I know... but that works for me.) Standard lofts.

Tim at Metrocustom Golf, here in Manhattan did the build. He's one of the best I've worked with. Really knows his stuff and is very meticulous. I can't recommend him enough.

Thanks again for all the suggestions earlier this year, everyone. I'm in love with these... but I'm still thinking about some Fourteen's and Yururi Flatbacks... (My love is a fickle love...)
