The advantages of a 12 club contract that only guarantees a driver. The F.D is a really nice club that I consider among the top handful of options for the high spin player, but if you need distance off the deck you're leaving yards on the table with a Titleist fairway.

It says a lot about his tempo. I don't swing nearly as hard and would hook/balloon the heck out of all of his shafts except the 72+. I saw a few trackman shots of his ball flight and it looks very controlled which might allow him to use softer stuff. Just goes to show how important swing mechanics / feel are in a fitting.

[/quote]I think the 6.0/6.5 are for a late release swing type. Despite his higher swing speed the 6.0 obviously accommodates his release.

i heard spieth put the 915 in the bag, wasn't able to watch today. does anyone know if his driving was better with the new driver?

Speith was using a new putter today and put up a really low round. It was one of the new Cameron X5R's with a red/white SS grip. Don't know if it'll stick around but he was pretty good with it today.

I think he'd been toying around with a more face balanced putter for a while. Scotty made him a long neck Newport a couple months ago that surfaced on here.
