I add the stroke post round edit. Tagged normally from wherever the appropriate drop is.

If it's an OB always play a provisional so you don't lose the accuracy/distance from said club. Lateral hazards however, you will almost always lose distance and accuracy from the stat line as to the nature of the penalty.

Also if you guys are aware now, in your virtual "Golf Bag" you can add as many clubs as you want and you just switch the tags around before you upload the round. I just did it with my BCP so the stats wont be muddled in with my 910 anymore.

Same goes for a putter, wedge, new irons, etc. Freaking awesome!

This is big. Now you can really see if you are more accurate/longer with a particular driver where it matters, on the course.

Exactly, or different drivers different shafts and so on. That's mostly what I use mine for now. Head/Shaft combos and putters. It's bad a**!

Played pretty good, 78 in a very windy day. BTW, played from 6833 yards, averaged 228 off the tee... so you short knockers have a chance ;-) Hit drives from 200-270 yards. Amazing how much wind affects things when you see it in raw number form.

Even though it's 6800 yards, it was a pretty easy 6800. No par 4s that are crazy long (I think 430 was the longest). Most of the yardage is in the par 5s, which I'm hitting 3 into anyway. If you're wondering why we played from that distance, it was a practice round for a tourney on Wednesday.

I have two questions that were touched on briefly throughout the thread, but I would like some more info now that some of you guys have had more experience.


1) Do rounded grip butts cause any issues? I have Lamkin Crosslines on most of my clubs ([url="http://www.lamkingrips.com/max-performance/crossline"]http://www.lamkingri...mance/crossline[/url]). I don't want to be fighting the caps and constantly ensuring they are tight or haven't been popped out.


2) Has there been an update to how Game Golf treats a round with 3 9-hole courses? If I play 18 holes (2 of the 3 9's) do I still need to re-start the device at the turn or do something else?

Awaiting mine to be delivered sometime on Friday, I can't wait. Only about a month or so left in my golf season but I can't wait to see the stats, and how it is to use on the course!

Can't comment to your second post, but I I can comment to the first. I've not had any issues with my rounded grip caps. I haven't been using mine recently due to an iron change and my laziness of moving the tags into the new set of irons, but I'm using the same wedges as I always was, taking them in and out of the bag frequently with the tags still on them. You may have noticed earlier in the thread that I had a lob wedge tag break, but they were quick to replace it at no cost. I've not had a single issue with them popping out of my lamkin crosslines on my wedges.

I can comment on the 1st. You don't need to restart the device or do anything else other than just start tagging. It does not treat them as one-18 hole round, it treats them as two-9 hole rounds. I just played 18 at Neshanic Valley in NJ and I didn't have to do anything going from the Meadows course to the Lake course. It closed my Meadows round and started my Lake round automatically. I'm not a big fan of some of their calculations. "average score" should be AVERAGE SCORE. Not average score after being adjusted for a baseline par 72.

Two does someone understand the difference in average club distance calculation when viewing all clubs after you click on your name, vs under the Analysis "off the tee" value? The value in "off the tee" is far different for my driver than for the distance under my name.

I believe the "Analysis" gives you the true average shot, the distances when you click your name uses the median?

Forgot to charge mine enough I guess, it stopped tagging on the 11th tee box. That was a lot of editing to get that round entered....

So I'm considering puttin my GG on the BST this morning. Not a single thing wrong with it, and it works really well. I think it could be a great tool, but I also feel like I find myself thinking more about the system and the review of my round and what other people will think when I hit a poor shot, than actually worrying about my golf.

That's not Game Golf's problem, its mine, but I almost feel like I'm playing my rounds on a trackman and chasing numbers the whole time. I'd love to get back to just playing golf and not worrying about it.

Haven't decided to pull the trigger, but I'm pretty sure it's on the table. If you know someone looking for one in great shape for under $200 tell em to PM me!

PS- As I've told some of you on here.....I'm really jealous of how much golf you guys get to play, LOL. I mean geez. I look up and every email I get someone just signed a round.

Played my first round, and I am impressed. The tagging is fairly easy to remember to do and adjusting after the round is a snap.

Now I just need to play more and better!

You can edit the shot to move it to the fairway if it wasn't captured correctly, sometimes the map doesn't correlate perfectly and a close shot could be marked as off the fairway/green. I keep fairways hit and GIR stats on my uPro so I can go back to that if I need to double check during a post-round edit.
