GolfWRX is live this week from Hilton Head Island, S.C. for the RBC Heritage. Harbour Town Golf Links has the unenviable task of hosting the PGA Tour the week after the Masters. The par 71, 7,101-yard layout, which winds through Carolina's Sea Pines and finishes along the Calibogue Sound, is one of the few courses that can peak the interest of its audience following the excitement of the year's first major. The iconic Harbour Town lighthouse behind the 18th green guides players to the difficult finishing hole.

Jack Nicklaus and Pete Dye's first collaboration favors the straight hitters with its tight layout and small greens, contrary to last week's bombers paradise at Augusta National.

The field this week features headliners Matt Kuchar, ranked No.6 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Jordan Spieth (No. 9), who's coming off a disappointing runner-up finish at the Masters, and Zach Johnson (No. 12). Also playing this week are Hall of Famers Nick Faldo, who rarely hops out of the announcer's booth to compete, and Tom Watson.

Graeme McDowell (No. 14) returns as the defending champion. He used his low trajectory and accuracy in last year's gusting winds to defeat Webb Simpson on the first playoff hole. Davis Love III, always a threat at Harbour Town with five wins at the event, will also be in the field hoping to capture another plaid tartan jacket.

Check out our photos from Hilton Head Island, S.C. at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Has Matthew Fitzpatrick turned pro this week? He now is sporting a staff bag and he was using the carry bag at the Masters. I suspect not since he has two major exemptions left due to his Amateur win.

No, still an amateur. At least thru British Open.

Practice club. The Callaway guys worked hard all day yesterday to find him a driver head & shaft combo. Not sure yet what he ended up with.

It's a fun course. Kinda feels like home with tighter than average fairways and smaller greens than what the pros are used to (which most of us mere moratals are accustomed to). image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

It's one that taught me not to pull driver on every hole that's not a par 3, and that's ok. image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    Hey Greg, question here:

Do you know why players on the range (both driving range and chipping greens) face the side of their bag with the name against them? It is bad for us who comes to see those guys practice and cannot recognize them.

    Thanks.

Looks like they have decided on a shaft for Patrick. Just like is practice driver, he will have a steel shaft in his driver and three wood (or at least for now).

The players don't do it, their caddies do and my best guess would be cuz the clubs are facing the player so he can pull out what he wants to hit while practicing.

That Srixon staff bag is pretty sharp. I'm not a staff bag guy but that one could be tempting.

    A couple of comments:

Are all the Cleveland staff pros not using Srixon bags (and clubs?)?

Why is Harris English practicing without tieing his golf shoes?

What's with the 70's **** star mustache on Ben Crane?

    A few random comments.

If they are playing the Srixon ball, they have the new Srixon bag.

Might help him keep his feet quiet/still?

I have wondered this as well

I have asked here on the forum.

The best info I could get was ..it's a part of his shirt/clothing, not a brace or a compression sleve

JT has been on a roll and Odyssey has won the putter count 4 -5 times in a row (tied Cameron at The Masters). Quite a few Titleist guys have switched over to Versas. (at least for now).

I heard that as brothers they were too close and the player caddy relationship was causing some stress. Agreed to some time off but Bill said if Jay, Jr wanted to get another bag to carry out on Tour, if would be fine.

Looks like Davis is using some type of victory model grip. I know he used green victory grips before switching to tour velvet full cords in the 2000's. But these look different to my eye, not the same pattern as the old victory or the v-55.
