Hot and Humid

Hey all -

Just wanted to get a feel for what you do in the hot humid weather. I was out on the course last week, and no matter what I did (rotate between two gloves, dry hands with towel before shots) I was still having a hell of a time holding onto my clubs. Finally I thought:

Why not use my rain gloves?

Popped em both on and finished the round. Looked like an idiot but let me play out the round.

Anyone else do this before? What's your trick for dealing with the moisture?

I always wear my rain gloves, or at least the left one, once the dew point gets to 60*

They last a long time because they are built to last while wet.

Cord grips, lots of towels, rotation of gloves....

I love using my rain gloves.
I only use one when it's real humid, they're nice and real durable, but I don't feel right wearing both of them

Cord grips will do wonders for you.

I've got Golf Pride multi-compounds right now... and it's the right hand (bottom) that is really slipping. Once I swapped to wearing both rain gloves it was fine. I agree, wearing both gloves takes away some of the feel, and you feel a little funny doing it. I may have to look into a grip change, or just wear both gloves...

Rain glove or put baby powder on your hands and in your glove.

I use Dry Hands, it's a liquid, feels a bit "chalky" at first but does stop the perspiration and I know hot and humid, I am in South Florida.

Half wet towel, half dry. Wash and dry grips before each shot. Rotate between two gloves. I have no issues with the NDMC grips and I am in southwest Florida.

I use Golf Pride NDMC and a Glove, Dry my hands and grips if needed and have no issues.

I also lived in south Florida and never wore a glove. They have pine tar grip enhancer that came in a little lip balm like container. I would apply a tiny amount and that would make a huge difference in hi humidity conditions. My little brother has a condition where his hands sweat constantly. He uses gorilla gold powder to keep his hands dry.
