Anyone had success with counter weight SuperStrokes in 2016 Scottys?

Had a slim 3.0 without counter weight on my previous putter, thinking about adding a slim 3.0 with counter weight to my 2016 Newport - any one have any success?

I use the Pistol GT tour with 50g weight in my Newport. It works well. Best putter I've owned.

Don't have a Scotty putter but just switched to the Pistol GT Tour and like it better than several other putter grips including other Super Stroke versions I have tried in the last year.

During our round today my friend said that my putter is getting into the same realm of must keep club as my 3 wood. He has promised to throw my bag in a lake if I ever show up with a different three wood...

Your mileage will vary on this. Other thread on here with a bunch of people not liking the counterweight. I have the pistol GT 2.0 on my Newport select 2 and I love the shape. Tried the 50g weight for a few rounds and felt that the extra weight actually made it more difficult for me to maintain a smooth stroke. I took the weight out and was back to much better stroke, better lag putts, and more putts made from 10-15 feet out.

Just buy and try it out. Nice thing is I hear that the tourlock weights fit perfectly with the superstroke countercore grips and they sell many more weight options so you can fine tune until you get something that works.

Do any tour players use these counter balance grips? I've seen these in the shop, but never seen anyone who uses them.
