Welding Sightline?

Anyone have a guess or recommendation for who could weld(remove) a sightline on a NP2?? Also, ballpark cost?

Yes if you are looking for an absolutely terrible customer service experience and someone who is likely to screw up your project and have it take exponentially longer than your quoted I would definitely recommend contacting NorCal!

Or better yet do a search on here and read about others experiences and then use someone else who is actually reputable and takes care of their customers.

Or yeah I guess look for someone else OP. There are a ton of putter restoration guys out there so send some emails and hope you find someone that can do what you want done.

Wasn't aware of the NorCal issues tbh.

If I do decide to go any route, I seriously might consider jb weld + silver mist auto paint first and blend it into the stainless, I could always torch it out. Hit the finished area with a quick blast of sand and it might look decent.

I had mine done by Kevin Colbert (putterplating.com) and the work was fantastic - however that was 11 years ago and I'm not sure if he's still working on putters.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use NorCal! I sent in a X5 for a flow neck 3 months ago and still haven't gotten it back. It was supposed to have been a 6 week turnaround. Which at the time, I thought was excessive and now wish that would have been the case. When I've inquired about status the responses I've gotten are complete BS! At this point I just want it back in whatever current state it's in (guessing untouched) so I can send to someone else! I sure wish Slighter was still doing it. I sent one to him last year and had it back in 10 days!

I actually messaged him and he said he cannot do it...I am perplexed by the near universal disdain for him here while I view some unbelievable finish jobs of his on Instagram. A definite dichotomy of sorts. Does he only post the ones he doesn't screw up, or has just a few bad jobs and customer service completely annihilated his reputation?

He constantly edits his Instagram page, deleting any negative comments. He only posts the ones he doesn't screw up. He has TERRIBLE customer service. Use him at your own risk. He has a huge number of screw up jobs and he will not take care of the customer in the event of a problem. He is completely dishonest and cannot be trusted. No idea why anyone would risk using his services when there are so many other good refinishers out there that are good honest people and will take care of you.
