US Open Merch

Hey guys, I am headed to Pebble Beach this Friday for the second of the US Open. Is there anything in the merch tent that I should be on the look out for? Thanks...

The Seamus US Open tartan covers that are only available on the grounds look pretty awesome. That's what I'd be after.

I will be there on Friday too. Most likely I’m just gonna pick up stuff online from Fanatics, I don’t wanna have to haul bags the entire day

I will be there Saturday and Sunday. I bought a bunch of stuff from Fanatics a couple months ago when the sales still applied to it. There are a few more things that I’ll buy afterwards when it’s on sale.

However, my experience from the PGA Championship two years ago was that certain items will sell out in the merchandise tent by the weekend. Best to buy anything you want that’s on Fanatics now.

I did notice some items in pictures online from the merchandise tent that aren’t on Fanatics.

Thanks for the heads up on Fanatics and also a good point that if you buy something that means you have carry it around all day. I will probably stroll through the merchandise tent though to browse around. That polo hoodie with the bear has caught my eye, however I believe someone in another thread mentioned how thin it was. Again I appreciate the responses.

You can always check your purchases also... I generally buy a drawstring backpack and get some of the items you really want... then I hit up the merch tent again before I leave and grab some additional stuff

I actually tried for that one for a while but couldn't track it down. Between the Mammoth Dunes tusk and the Augusta Hogan Bridge openers I've got, I'm good. :)

I was there for the practice round on Tuesday. They have complimentary bag check right at the exit of the merchandise tent, so you won't have to carry the bags around all day.

I bought the exclusive Seamus tartan headcover for the US Open, as well as some Nike sweaters and hats

You dont have to, when you walk out of the merch tent you can ship it right out. its awesome

Ask them if they have any Master's hats.

I was at The Canadian Open this week and did this. Drawstring backpacks are light and carry quite a bit.

I’ll also add for anyone going tomorrow who hasn’t been yet, there are some items on Fanatics that they don’t have in the merchandise tent and vice versa.

Does anyone know what USGA does with all of the left over merch? Do they sell it to fanatics?

There is a usually a 50% off sale of whatever is left in the tent the day after the tournament. That is what they had at Oakmont in 2016.

For the PGA Championship in Charlotte they donated a lot of it (the items not available on Fanatics) to a youth golf organization in the area that then sold it online for a few weeks for about 20% of the normal prices.

When it was last at PB they had a 50% off sale that started a week after the tournament end, so will be open to the general public sometime next week. IIRC this week it's available to volunteers and others involved with the tournament.
