2010 Cleveland CG1 Tour Progressive Set

This will be part of a progressive iron set. Length of blade from toe to heel is shorter than before. They will have conforming 2010 grooves. Nice looking product!

Is it me, or they are closely looking with the MP68 and MP58?

It's about damn time but really they should have made them forged, with TM out of the forging business Cleveland stood a chance to have a hit. They did have a set of forged combo irons as a prototype set. I really wish someone had a picture of those still. I lost my picture of the set on Yahoo Auctions Japan about 2 computer changes ago. The set they had was a combo set with a wavey flange in the back and the CG logo in the middle wave.

I think they look sweet. To the OP, do you know how the breakdown works (3-6 CB, 7-PW Blade)? Really excited to see Cleveland come out with a more traditional set of cavity backs.

You would think with Srixon buying them out they would be forged.

6 iron on down are blades, as you can see the blade pictured is a 6 iron. They are made from the same material that the cg 15 is made from, I believe something similar to 431 from what I was told.

So they are made of the same ss as the CG-7 irons then? They didnt have that crazy laser milled groove pattern on the face did they? Were these pics from the Demo Day at the Merchandise show or from the Torrey Pines?

No, not the same as the CG7, the same steel as the CG15

It's hard to tell, but it looks like they may have also finally gotten the message about putting Cleveland on the sole of the club. I don't think the iron in the top picture has it, but can't tell 100 percent. Very nice if they finally got away from that. I've had 5 sets of Clevelands that all had it.

Never really thought I could bag a Cleveland iron, but these look SWEET!

FINALLY they removed the "Cleveland" from the sole and put it into the cavity!
