Sweet bag but what are those yellow sticks you have in there. Alirnment?????

Thanks

Yes, you also see them in some pro's bag now.

Robert Karlsson always carry two red/white in his pro bag - even when he is out on the course in a tournament.

Don't know where you can buy them - and why you need more than two -but the black yellow color theme certainly looks great in the bag above ;)

I won't knock on anyone who has the pom pom style covers, but wow, aren't those a bit RETRO nowadays??

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm 37, I had plenty of those silly lookin' pompom covers in the past.

But, then again, I use neoprene iron covers. . .matter of choice I guess.

I tend to stick with the oem headcovers, and I've purchased a set of really nice zip-up club glove covers for my fairway woods (when they're actually in the bag).

I have an old school "X" tube cover for my 3 metal.

I use, for the most part, what comes with the clubs (OEM). With the driver, when I'm playing a round of golf, I put away the TM burner driver headcover on a side pocket and use an Acuity headcover because the freakin' TM OEM driver headcover is so tight and difficult to put back on, I wouldn't be able to take the aggravation of trying to put it back on after teeing off on a hole.

I have some "cheap" animal heads headcovers (b/w panda bear, orange stripe tiger), a black NIKE headcover for woods, but really just have them all as "emergency" purpose only.

My main thing with a headcover is that not only should it protect the club's head, but also have a sock portion to protect the shafts from rubbing inside the bag's dividers. Thus, the Daphne's animal headcovers is a "no-no".

Regarding "un-desireables" being "attracted" to a bag w/OEM headcovers, I agree. I do my best in keeping my bag as close to me as possible. When not in use, I entirely cover the golf bag's top w/an Acuity micro-fiber player towel with Velcro closure on the side end to keep everything out of sight.

Well, I've done it... I've decided to ditch the OEM headcovers (put them in storage) and go all (mostly) black, as you can figure out, I've recently changed my bag set up with the woods and hybrids, along with the putter, thus, it was freakin' looking like a carnival. Also, I DO NOT LIKE the Ping G10 woods headcovers, 'cause there's no sock portion to protect the graphite shafts from the iron's head constant "banging" (see my prev. above thread).

Now, the Ping G10 Driver has a Darth Vader head cover (real "cool" looking!);

the Ping G10 3 Wood has a Black Nike Tour headcover with the # "1" on top (yeah, I know, it should be covering the driver, but this heacover seems a bit smallish for a 460cc head);

the Ping G10 5 Wood has the Black Nike Tour headcover with the # "3" on it (weird, but a good fit, since it's supposed to be used for 3 wood heads);

the TM Burner Rescue 4 Hybrid has the Black Nike Tour headcover with the letter "X" on it;

the TM Burner Rescue 5 Hybrid has a Black Generic headcover that I got from the Sports Authority with an "X" tag hanging on it;

the TM Spider Putter Headcover has a Snake Eyes black & white headcover that I bought used at Golfsmith;

the TM Siena #4 Putter Heacover is the GolfWRX "Flying Camo Tiger" headcover that this site/forum designed...

I gotta think if I'm gonna leave the headcovers "mis-label" the way I just described them, specially since the Nike #1 headcover does not fit the Ping G10 3 wood very well, as it's (the headcover) a bit on the big size.

Driveway markers. They can be found at Lowe's or Home Depot. Just go check the section where mailboxes and for sale signs are thats where you can find them. They are about 2 bucks apiece.

OK thanks. You didn't really say, but now I see that rocketrod did say "Alirnment" which my brain parsed as a user name. It's OK, I've had my coffee now...

currently have a wilson pom for my three wood and stock headcovers for my driver and hybrids. my favorite is a buffalo head cover that I used for my driver but it dosent fit 460cc heads.

Also my birthday is the 22nd (finally gonna be 21) and I did some snooping and am pretty sure I will be getting new Clemson head covers for my clubs that will match my clemson putter cover.

ps. Yes I go to Clemson and yes I am glad bowden got fired today.

I use a JAN CRAIG w/ 8" pom (Black sleecve - one white stripe (D) - pom is 50/50 of black/white) for the driver.

* Expensive, but QUALITY!! Lasts a long time - like the idea of "handmade"

4 wood is a "Rocket Tour" in black with black/white pom and a "smiley face" tag.

7 wood is a Clubglove "stealth" in back

hybird is also a Clubglove "stealth" in black

Irons are in Clubglove "leather like" - no bag dings for me!!!!!

Cameron putter gets a black (no logo) AME cover.

All carried in a Black/White Sun Mountain "Flight" stand bag.

All Poms here , big inns too.

Hand made by these guys : "santonils" (google)

Have had them for years and made exceptionally well. They are knitted like something your grandma would take all winter to make for you. Endless options yadda yadda yadda.

Yeah I'm old skool and yea if someone wants thier name on my bag they better write me a check. :)

You say retro, I say why advertise to thieves what equipment you have. I never use OEM covers on my woods, I don't want to advertise my nice equipment.

I like stuffed animals and pom poms. I have a fish for my driver, because I am an avid fisherman.

Who do you buy your pom poms from? I got two last year and they are really sagging and wanted to get a set for Driver, 3 Wood and hybrid. I know Jan Craig is the Cameron of Pom Poms but is they really worth it?

I like to use older OEM headcovers so my bag doesn't draw any attention. For example, I use an old Ram Zebra headcover or an Odyssey headcover on my Cameron. I use a G2 or G5 headcover for my 3 wood (TEE CB2). I use a G10 or old Rapture headcover for my driver. I use an older Ping Hoofer bag. My irons and wedges are the only thing that might draw some attention (ZBs and raw Vokeys).

I use Golfsmith woods, and the covers are OEM particular to the heads. I either play a Killer Bee B Sting or a Snake Eyes driver, and always my XPC fairway metals.

I don't think the kind of creep who would steal clubs would recognize the names on my covers. But I'm still thankful that nothing has been snatched from me!
