I've been having beers - had a nice little IPA from a brewery in Virginia with a burger from a new place in town - yes, a local finally opened a good restaurant in the smokies and in downtown Sevierville to boot - blasphemy - has to be on the 6 lane road to Dollywood and be one of the 1000s of national chains.    Have a partial case of Laganitas cause the Costco stop carrying Bells two hearted.   Gotta have my son visit and bring me some Alpha King and Zombie Dust (or I need to head up to Chicago and get it myself).

In other news, I put new grips on my clubs last night - went back to regular - tried midsize - believe it was part of my so so year last year - combine that with playing too little and it makes you want to drink more beer.    Weather is turning - have to cut the grass - finally have had a dry spell - we had 10 straight days of rain in February culminating with 5 inches on the last day that lead to horrendous flooding that is finally receding but still exists in spots - had 3 inches in the first week of March too - so far since November we sit at 34 inches - average in these parts is 48 for the year and we had the 5th rainiest year on record in 2018 - not a good start when we alread have 22 since January.      Not Nebraska but not great either.     Looks like golf is just around the corner for me.

I need to change my game plan to 18 holes versus a bit of practice followed by 9 holes, lol.

@gatorMD because a buddy of mine and I made a deal... No alchy till we break par. He's a + that lives in Canada so once their season starts up I'm sure he'll be able to do it no problem.

 

While I've never shot under par for 18 holes I have shot under par on both 9's at my CC - so I know it's out there for me I just need to put together a score for all 18.

Last two rounds shot 76, 76. Had multiple birdies in each round but still have blow up holes. In one of the rounds I played the par 5s over par... On Sunday I was feeling really good. Played the first 5 holes in -1 which is the toughest stretch on my course. Then I shanked one on the tee of hole 6.... still doing stuff like that to myself.

I can sympathize......just played Saturday and had 4 birdies and an eagle...shot 77.....lol. If that keeps happening i think I may start drinking heavily on the course lol.

Hey, it could be worse. We're a day away from a bomb cyclone dropping rain and then snow 8-12", with probably some ice in there before the rain changes completely to snow...
