Shanks2424 - I LOVE the MB irons. They were difficult for me to hit for about the first month. They have a smaller club face than GI irons, so I was hitting everything toward the toe. But once I got the feel for them...oh man. I used reverse thinking when buying the blades. Rather than shying away from them because my ball striking wasn't great, I reasoned that by learning to use them my ball striking would improve. And it did.

 

Benefits of these irons: solid distance control; mishits don't go very far; better control--and most important: the feedback. These clubs are so sensitive that when I mishit I know where the ball is going before I look up, and I know the trajectory as well. This also tells me the reason for the mishit. And they sting hard when they are not hit properly. It feels like hitting a baseball with the neck of the bat. On proper shots it doesn't feel like I hit a ball. There is a noticeable 'click' sound and nothing else.

 

The woods are great. I have the 3FW adjusted +1 on pitch but that's the only change on all of them. The driver is naturally a 9 degree, but I have been experimenting with going +1 on it. I don't have the 5FW in my bag right now in favor of the 3H. The 5FW, 3H and 2 iron are all about the same distance for me: approximately 200 yards +/- 10-15. My hybrids are relatively new to me, so I am still testing them out in play. I like them so far.

 

Katke87 - thank you! My 2 iron is the most pleasurable club to hit well and the absolute worst when I don't. Good shots are like slicing through room temperature butter.
