Did the 2016 USGA solo round posting change create people that look like sandbaggers but aren't?

Yep sure is. One I will never follow! I step away from the game for 15 years and I find out the USGA has a rule that you can't post scores alone anymore? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA um yeah ok go F yourself.

In Oregon, handicaps "freeze" between Dec 1st and March 1st, where you can't post scores during "bad weather". When I was first getting back into playing, my amount of play didn't drop much, but I couldn't post scores, so I ended up in a similar situation each year. Start as a 12 handicap March 1st playing more like a 7-capper, rack up shop credit the first couple months until my handicap caught up, then play on level ground the rest of the year. Next year, same thing, only a 5-6 handicap playing at a 2-3 level isn't as dramatic a difference, haha.

the biggest bagging (as a former captain and hdcp chair) I see are posted high rounds when members play at away courses or play at the home course with their wife

Funny how those scores make you a 19 cap ... but you can shoot 80 on league day .... on multiple occasions no less !!!

They are either pencil whipping low on league day .... or pencil whipping high when they travel or aren't with their regular group

I fully believe all clubs that have a weekly league day ... that should be your cap for home events. You are a 19 and shoot 80 .. Guess what you're a 7 on Wednesdays

The other bagger is the vanity sort. He hurts nothing but his wallet. Shoots 73 all the time, but 85 every league day

The Japanese refer to a walk in the woods as "forest bathing". :-)
