Anyone getting Northern MI deals

Just wondering if anyone was getting any real good deals for group trips this year. I've been getting some quotes and everything seems a bit high right now.

I've also noticed this. I have talked to about 4 different places and they all are higher than what they have been in past years.

We are paying $284 at Treetops. We get 2 nights stay and 4 rounds of golf and 1 round on Threetops. Not great but not terrible

When are you going? They quoted me way more than that. My trip is 4 rounds and 3 nights.

Our group is paying $250 a man for 3 nights and 3 days unlimited golf and two lunches. Staying at the chief in the log cabin house. This will be our third year going there. I know the course isn't the best but we will also play one or two of cedar river, the legend and hawks eye each year. Shanty creek does some great twilight prices when you book inside of 72 hours. Its hard to pass up. I looked around this year for other options and nothing came close.

We are staying June 21-22 and if your group wants in I could get you that price. I already have tee times made and you would not need to hang out but I could get you that price if interested. PM me if you want in and your payments would be made directly to Treetops

Wow that's a great price at Treetops I was quoted mid $500 for 2nights & 5 rounds. Which by no means is bad when you figure what it cost to play in other states but just more than what it has been in the past. I've been told a good ski season = less golf deals not sure if its true but that makes sense.

We go in August. I appreciate the offer. I was quoted closer to $450 and that is supposed to be a deal.

8 of us go to Gull Lake out in Augusta, MI. Literally in the middle of nowhere...i love it! Our group has been going for years. $299 for 5 rounds and 2 nights.

So many nice options in Michigan, but it does seem some are starting to creep up in price and become expensive.

I noticed prices seemed to be on the uptick, so this year my group booked a U.P. trip for the end of July. 2 nights and 4 total rounds of golf for $340. I know this might not work for people in the "mitten", but travelling from Chicago, its roughly the same distance as it would be to go to Traverse or somewhere in Northern MI.

I'm headed to the Chicago Golf Show this weekend, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of prices are available there.

I have a group of 48 heading to GTR may 31, June 1 & 2. 4 rounds, 2 nights and 2 breakys for $325 all in. They also gave us 3 shotgun starts and a hospitality room to use.

Boyne jacked prices - that is for sure. It is hard to compare package prices because they are based on amount of people and time of year and rounds/hotel. If you stay fewer nights and played 36 a day, it will always be cheaper because they will give you replay rates and you have less nights. If you are trying to book for 4 or even 8 golfers, it is hard to get a deal.

I have found it's easier and cheaper for only 4 guys....or even 8. Simply because if you look around the internet, you can find deals thru charity events, ebay, craigslist....whatever. If you prefer to play different courses that is. Staying at a resort and playing strictly those on site normally will always be your best bet.

For 8 guys........

5 nights at the Odawa Casino (plus each person gets $50 in slot play, $50 in food vouchers, $25 in match play black jack and breakfast each morning)
9 rounds of golf
1. Hawks Eye
2. Black Lake
3. Bay Harbor (Links/Quarry)
4. LTB
5. Boyne Hills
6. Treetops Signature
7. Treetops Masterpiece

Fair enough, but it's very little work if you just set up the alerts, and things like that. When the deals pop up, they come to you.

Absolutely Openwater! You never know who may decide to bail at the end. Although the guys I have going (3 of them have been up there before and played many of those courses) are all drooling over the pictures they have been seeing. I think it would take something very serious for one of them to not go.

There is a good chance we will be getting rid of LTB, and playing Birchwood in the a.m. the day we are playing Boyne Hills in the p.m. I just haven't got the "official" green light yet for playing Birchwood. That would raise the price a little....it would still be under $700. The extra $ for Birchwood is WELL worth it in my opinion.

I am also paying $129 in late May for 1 night stay and 90 holes of golf. Thats just silly!
