white grip. keeping them white

Who's used or is using white grips. I was thinking of getting some but I don't want them to not be white after a couple uses. What's the best way to maintain them and keep them looking new or is it just a loosing battle?

I play white grips and it's pretty much a lost cause. Soap and water helps some as does Windex, but really you're not going to get more than about a month of heavy use out of them before they're not so white anymore. I still like them after they've lost their luster, but if you wouldn't, don't get them.

What i found that works great.on my white golf pride white tour wrap grips is Mr. Clean Magic eraser you can find it in any supermarket. Works great also on your golf shoes gets out the dark lines and scruff marks. And the best part very inexpensive.Hope that helps

I've tried tons of cleaners, soaps, chemicals to clean grips and bring back their feel and NOTHING comes close to a household cleaner called "AWESOME"!!

It can be a little 'harsh' to breath if used full strength (I describe it as a 'light version' of the tire cleaner that is at most car washes)...but it is recommended to clean about anything you can think of around your house! A quick spray with it on your grips and a couple wipes and your grips are cleaner and tackier than they were new!! REALLY! I've never found anything as good as AWESOME.

I used to be able to buy it at my local Walmart but I believe they have quit carrying it....I have been able to find it at Dollar General though. It is actually called 'LA's famous (in small print) AWESOME'. It is a yellow liquid and comes in a clear spray bottle.

Also around the house it's great for stains on clothes, carpets, etc and an awesome de-greaser on anything! Works better than any 'car related' cleaner for tires as well!!!

I've used the Clorox Bathroom cleaner on them and it will bring them back to their original color. I spray it on and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then scrub it with a brush. I have found the Black Widow Tour Silk II's stay cleaner and whiter than any other grip I've tried. Not sure about the original Tour Silk, but the new version is pretty nice.

I use Tour wrap 2g white grips and I clean them every few weeks. Soap and water and every now and then a little black or oxi clean mixed in. They stay pretty white. Nothing like brand new, but I don't really care how white they stay, just if they grip properly!!!
I do like the acetone idea though. Haven't tried that but I know it will work
