I am curious also, I am having the big 25 year with the Princess this year, she is not a golfer but love's a spa, I have heard good things about Kohler and I was trying to throw a little golf in. I , like you, was wondering if the weather the first of Nov is to cold. I am just a Florida sunshine guy that does not want to get caught in freezing temp's playing at such a nice resort. Has anyone had any first hand Nov experiences, or is Oct better than Nov, or is Nov just out of the question. If anyone has any experience up there I sure would appreciate your advice. Thanks to all.

You'd be taking a gamble in late October and early November. We've been lucky the past few years in that we've been able to play into early December more or less, but we're talking about temps in the low 40's. I've played late October rounds with temps in the low 60's with plenty of sunshine, and rounds in the low 40's with moderate winds and light rain. Personally, I like September golf in the Midwest.

I've been the last 2 years. Both times we've gone in the middle of summer (2013 went 1st week of august) (2014 went 1st week of July). Both times, the weather was spectacular. High about 75*, low humidity. This year, we did have one day of heavy rain, but that was not an issue. So, I know its during the peak season, but loved my last 2 vacations.

Perfect time to do it. Temps cool a little, humidity clears out, courses are in good shape since the summer crowd has stopped golfing. As long as you beat aeration you're perfect.

The one time I played it was in early August and it was over 100 degrees. So hot the group in front of us called it quits after 9. That's a pretty big ticket to walk away from which tells you how brutal it was.

But, that was before global warming changed the Midwest into the freak show it is now. Case in point, we now have a late summer monsoon season in Chicago that last from mid August till who knows since its still going on.

[/quote]Argon, Thanks so much for the info, I do not do a lot of spa- golf stuff , I have had the privilege of playing some of the top golf courses except for Peeble . I would like to get some advice from some of the guys on here that have taken there other half for the spa experience' s as well as me playing a little golf. With that being said anyone have any nice spa golf combo resorts in the US that I should consider around late Oct to mid NOV. Thanks again so much for your input, I sure don't want to go up there "Whistling Straits" and freeze my tail off. Any help would sure be appreciated, I guess I could end up at Peeble, that is one place I have not played. I am sure there are some resorts that are nice that I just do not know about. Thanks again guys, David

Just got back from there last week.....we've gone twice now and have played all 4 courses. On Monday at the straits it pissed buckets and we ha a 3 hot delay, once we started again we ripped right through and replayed on the Irish course. Our caddie left something to be desired but it was once again frigen awesome!!!!!!!

Well, I'm not much of a spa guy, but if you want reasonable weather in late October to early November, you'll have to head south or southwest. I imagine there are some decent spas in Scottsdale or Palm Springs, along with some decent shopping. The French Lick resort in southern Indiana may have OK weather that time of the year. Another possibility is the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
