I've hit both the Speed and the Pro, the Speed is the head for me, my history with the Covert line goes as follows

Performance (cracked face) - Performance - 2.0 Tour (for 2 weeks, out the middle was the bomb but not forgiving enough) - 2.0 Performance (current Gamer, love it)

Sound is different to the Covert, feels soft off the face but yet explodes into the distance.

These drivers are the real deal and look amazing at address.

How does the 2.0 performance stack up to the speed head? Longer? More forgiving (if that's possible)? They must be the same size relatively speaking.

Was the pro model more forgiving than the ct 2.0 in your assessment?

Can't comment on distance as no trackman and it was on the range in the dark, it felt longer but I realise there is no science behind that.

Was striping it so can't comment on forgiveness of the Speed, would say yes the Pro is more forgiving than the 2.0 tour, I seemed to miss that low on the face a lot and it span up going nowhere hence switching back to the Performance.

Didn't hit many with the Pro, probably only 20 balls, concentrated on the Speed.

I absolutely love my performance, playing it with proforce v2, stiff, tipped 1 inch but I will be getting the Speed.

Had the diamana out of the pro in the speed, great combo.

With the new 2015 sleeve adapters attached to the adjustable heads, and you want to use the old covert adapter's.

When you attach it, will it show two lofts and make the club head a little heavier?

Same with the drivers, looks like it's fresh from the tour van and not yet ready to be played.

Pics were just taken really fast.

They probably leave the plugs out so they don't have to drill them for hot melt.

They aren't attached to the head. It's the same system as before, just a lighter adapter.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this but can anyone confirm that the peformance or speed (the glued ones) are going to be shaped like these exactly? I don't want the retail models to be any different and don't want a situation like the original covert line where the tour guys who wanted a glued fairway had a completely different and much better shaped head than us normal folk get. Reason I ask is the heads in the catalog (particularly the face) don't look the ones here. I know that's a computer generated rendering but still cause for concern. If they look like the catalog ones I'll stick with my LE.

On another note everything looks fantastic!

They will look like the real pictures, not the rendering above. If you look at the Covert 2.0 performance woods renderings, they look the same, as do the Vr Ltds.

Ok thats good to hear. Then the only thing I'll have to worry about is how much the swing weight will drop with whatever shaft I decide to put in it playing at 43 inches instead of the standard 43.75"

I am going to have to give these a try, look really good to me, but I am having my best summer ever with the CT 2.0 and covert forged irons, so they would have to be really special to spend money on another set.

While tempting, a custom ordered set of Vapor ProCombos probably not on the agenda this go around--especially since I've already invested in KBS tour shaft upgrades for both my VRS Forged and Covert Forged iron sets.

Visuals mean a lot to me so that while I'm not inclined to mixing red and black clubheads, I'm looking forward to pairing the Vapor Flex 3 wood and 2-hybrid offerings with my Covert 2.0 LE matte black driver.

On a strictly self-indulgent level, I'm totally all in for purchasing the Nike Vapor Flex driver by next summer. However I'm worried that since it doesn't appear to have made the USGA Conforming list as of yet, it may not be released with the other two driver options. In that scenario, I may be "forced" to apply some lime green/volt paint fill to my Covert 2.0 LE to hold me over while I'm waiting..

Did I really say Vapor Flex Driver purchase by next summer....change of plans...Jan 31st is probably close enough to my birthday to persuade the old lady to approve my buying the FLEX along with the 3 wood and 2 hybrid. The DC golf convention normally happens around that time so I might be able to score a good deal on the collective purchase of all three at the show.
