which gripmaster putter grip?

Just as the title says, which grip do you all prefer? Everyone seems to rave about these grips, I was just curiuos to see which is tackiest, and had the best feel. Thanks guys.

I have tried a few of them including the synthetic but my favorite is the "Piistol Tour Putter Grip". It's the same as the one you could find on the Cameron Napa American Classic VII. I never cared for the stitch back grips and usually if I have a Cameron with that grip end up pulling it and installing the Pistol.

I really like the stitchback. I don't find this grip as tacky as many other grips but I really like the feel of it.

I agree with pitbull808. I'm not a big fan of the stitchback. I just don't like the feel of the stitches on the underside of the grip. All of the grips are great though. I like the D-Shaped grip...it's a little "rounder" feeling.

I recently put the pistol with yellow cord on my scotty. Very tacky and great feeling grip. Highly recommended.

I agree, I'm surprised how little the corded grip is talked about. Excellent feel, unfortunately, I love all the GripMasters!

For me, it's extremely hard to go wrong with any of the Gripmaster grips. My favorite used to be the pistol wrap, and still might be by just a touch, but the stitchbacks grow on me more and more each time I use them (probably end up just going stitchback from here on out). If I were to go back to using mallets/MOI putters, I'd definitely go with one of their mid-sized grips. Great feel, with a TON of taper, helps to lock out wrists and helps in alignment with what should almost be an illegal paddle-like feel (it's legal, so it's all good! :russian_roulette:).

 

If you're looking for the one with the most tack, you'll definitely want to go with one of the perforated wraps. Also, I know that you can request more or less tack on any of their other putters, so if you feel that the stitchback isn't tacky enough, request it to be more so. Customer service from Harry is top-notch. :russian_roulette:

I am a convert to the Stitchback from the Pistol wrap. I will have Gripmaster round 60 perforated grips on all my clubs very soon (end of the week in most likelihood). :russian_roulette:

I'm a potential Gripmaster convert here. A couple questions for the experts:

 

1) Which grip is closest in size to a Baby T?

 

2) What does that grip weigh? If it's 70 or less grams we may have a match.

 

My brother used to have a Bullseye putter when we were growing up (in the 1980's). It had a leather wrap grip and I loved how tacky it felt. I was playing with a Ping then so I never converted to the leather wrap--but I loved that feel.

 

I'm all Baby T, all the time now--but would think about switching if a Gripmaster had that same thick and substantial feel.

I just got a red and black cord tour pistol wrap. I cant wait to try it. Ive had a stitchback but it was a little to big for my liking.

I have 3 putters (Nike unitized retro, SC circa 62 3, and a Newport 2) and they all have the midsized leather pistol grip and IMO they are the best grips out there.

The pistol putters are quite close to the Baby T, either the Tour Wrap (GMTPSR) or the Stichback (GMTPHL). Both weigh in at ~ 60 grams.
