Yeah right those things were available to every store that carried Nike to hold demo shafts, most common "tour" bag out there now....I have three in the basement anybody that wants one can take one for $100 plus shipping...

Just picked a "very good" Vapor Speed driver from Global Golf for $100 and an extra shaft (Kuro Kage) for $30. It's new w/o the plastic. Hoping it's the one to finally kick the ZL out of the bag. I've had a few Nike clubs over the years and liked them all except for the looks (Slingshot irons, Machspeed woods, T60 fwy, Dymo fwy). The Vapor Speed is the first club they put out that does it for me visually (love the Volt color). Besides, gotta have at least one Nike club in my SQ bag.

The irony is pretty strong. I still think if Nike were a private company, they'd have done things differently, but alas, its just business - and businesses need to be profitable.

Hint to what? I highly doubt they'd make such a big announcement only to reverse course so quickly. If they hadn't closed the oven and their club designers and such weren't let go....

Eh, that picture has been used by a few different media outlets today. It's probably just the first one they found. After Rory's performance over the past month, I believe him when he says he has no intention to overhaul the bag in the immediate future. Why would he?
