It's below the tour preferred. It has the same cover as the tour preferred but the core is made to fly higher for amateur swing speeds. They are a great ball for the money even at full price.

This is my first order through Golf Balls Direct. I'll definitely be buying from them again ( 2 Dozen Project a and 2 Dozen Z Stars.) They are all in pretty good shape. Couple yellowish balls which doesn't bother me or effect playability. Looks like "Sally" wanted to make a trip to Ohio. Lol

Not even a 25% increase from listed price. Your math is a bit off. For prices that low and flat rate shipping in bulk you have to expect shipping to have a decent impact on price though. Either way I'm happy with the price I got, much better than close to 30 bucks a dozen new.

You are very correct. I only paid 12 cents over the listed price when shipping was included so I was very happy. 7 bucks a dozen. Just hope the quality is as good as everyone has been getting.

I bought some used balls off amazon a while back and they were all cheaply refinished balls and they didn't say that they were. The finish started chipping off with the very first hit. Was only 4 bucks for 1 dozen so wasn't worth complaining about.

I've ordered only the AAAA balls and have never come across a yellowed one out of 12+ dozen. Can't speak for AAA but if you go for higher than that I think you'll be very pleased.

Got 2 dozen AAAA tour preferred x. I figured for $20 for 2 dozen it's worth a shot.

I just ordered (again) 3 dozen of the AAAA ProV's and a dozen TM Tour Preferred just to try them. I've never had a bad experience with this vendor, and I've never gotten other than AAAA. I'm guessing the AAAAA are literally like brand new. Of all the balls I've gotten from them, I've had maybe a handful of balls with a very minor scuff on them. Not enough for me to not put them in play.

 

I have read all the articles about how amateurs like us are wasting our money buying premium balls, and I can't say I disagree. However, when you can get a near-new premium ball for the price of a much lesser quality one why not play the best?

 

If you're worried about the quality, don't be. For sure use the discount codes listed above.

I think for the most part $4 shall for amateurs is a waste. However I can only tell on green side shots and putting. Is it still worth $4? Maybe not, but I do like that when I hit a good shot (it's so rare) it does what it's supposed to do. That happens more when I'm playing a premium ball
