Last two rounds I've played, I've gone looking for some of my visors and haven't found them. I'm starting to think that I left 3-4 hats in the rental car when I returned it after Bethpage. That's some bad mojo. No Imperial Visors on Amazon either, so can't get one in time for Sunday. I still have a few kicking around, but they are some older ones.

I thought it was odd that we've played twice in the last 10 days or so and you've worn a hat both times.

Not much. Things from my day :

 

I hit one OB on 2. Made triple. Then, on 4, I hit my second into rough like that, chunked into the trap, skulled from a bad lie, and made triple. I was +7 after 4 and I say to Bae, "Bae, I'm pi$$ed. I'm breaking 80. It's par 71 so I have ONE SHOT to play with."

 

Parred out the front. Terrible 3-jerk on 10 (missed on a putt they would have given me, but I'm trying to get ready for Sunday. Good lesson.), birdie right back on 11, then bogey on 15 after getting into more rough like that. Thought the rough was going to turn the club over a little and instead, I ripped it dead on my line into the right bunker.

 

On 18, I hit my second into the right sandtrap. I needed a 4 for 79. Hit the PIN on the sandshot and them made a 6/7 footer for the 79.

 

On 8 (par 3), Bae misses left, and we're looking for his ball because he's in rough like that picture (that shot was posed, but not exaggerated. I've NEVER seen the rough that bad out there.). I'm in for par after a chip that hit the pin. Bae chips to like 12 feet and sinks it. Ridiculous up and down from that stuff.

 

Hit 69% of fairways on which I teed off with the 917 (9/13) with one more in the first cut. That was my first competitive round after the shaft switch, and the head adjustment. Felt very good over the ball on the tee.

 

3 up and downs on the par 3's, which was big.

 

Sneek was all over the place off the tee, but hit some nice irons and made some putts.

 

Bae was solid. Very good round except for a chunk on 14 and a couple chips he'd like back, I think.

That's wild. The rough was gnarly out there a couple times this spring. The day I played with you, PQ, and MTN, we lost a bunch of balls in the rough. I had a few that day that were quite difficult for a weak-wristed fellow like myself to extract as well.

I played with the 3-piece C4 ball from MG yesterday.

 

$20 a dozen.

 

Going to give them more of a shakeout this fall. Should have better availability than the K-Sig going forward.

The course pays the 10cent deposit...so that's really there's, right?

Or is there no deposit, and it's just given beck if returned?

 

Over under on # of cans that family was trying to stuff in the trunk??? 36 people in the outing...so could be well north of 100. (Or $10!!!! whoa!)
