Now that it's over and we won, My favorite was the synchronized approaches on #17 on Sunday. I thought I was going to have to physically defend myself for a second.

 

I honestly wasn't even the tiniest bit upset with you. It would be silly to blame a little sound for the poor shot I hit. Mount Wispy FAbb erupted purely out of self-loathing.

You guys do know, I basically had a front row seat for this whole thing.

 

Domes hit a wedge and just dropped it or something, and hung his head in disappointed. Fabb hit a shot and it was just a haze of rage, sand and a flying wedge.

 

Why am I even using words?

Me: Monday night, yup.

Me: I'm playing in an event with Fabb and Eagle. In Columbia.

Wife: Oh, I'll see you Monday night...

 

Doesn't even phase her anymore.

Two slight changes.

 

1) I was in the bunker further up.

2) My wedge was much closer to the green. I actually had to walk around for a while looking for it after walking over to concede the match to Eagle, and profusely apologize for my poor attitude.

Pulling the ol' Eagle. Two shots for all! Domes putt on 14 from about 20 feet to halve the hole in alternate shot, followed by an epic 3 wood from 242 that started left and faded directly onto the flag. Absolute beaut of a shot.

 

MTN hit an absolute pure 5 iron on hole #5 that was on the flag from the moment he hit it (although did end up slightly long). MTN's bomb he made on 10 from the right side of the green to the left pin location. Ridiculous birdie putt to win the hole when his opponent had a slight advantage looking at an uphill birdie that he proceeded to miss after seeing MTN's putt roll in.

 

Although didn't seem like much at the time, I rolled in an 8 footer for 5 net 4 on hole 1 on Sat. to win the hole. Nice shot of confidence with the putter to start the round that helped as I faced some nervy short putts later in the round. Enjoyed hitting a nice 5 iron on #8 with a gallery.

My best shot? Well, you'd think it was my majestic 5i (with a c*** hair taste of a draw) on 16 for CTP, but it wasn't. It also wasn't my putt from the back right to frontish left on 10 on Sunday that had me looking at the hole over my shoulder (a "just the tip" back door sneak). Instead it was a measly 60 yard wedge on 14 on Saturday, but you need context. (DT, I know you're shocked I did anything other than bury a wedge hosel deep in the ground but this is a true story.)

 

The Creepy Guy (aka MTN) and I were battling J&J and trying to get in the clubhouse to drink beer. Unfortunately, after the J's place on the left side of the 14 fairway TCG yanked one left off the tee. Knowing the pressure was on me for a good tee ball for alternate shot, I stepped up and hit one left of his left. A kindly Tex found my ball in jail near 15, and a kindly ranger found TCG's ball, which also was in jail, but the open kind that Otis slept in when Andy wasn't around.

 

I threaded the needle and hit a slick 5i through the trees to the right side of the fairway where it trundled toward the green and left my partner 72-74 yards to the green. Sensing the moment, TCG grabbed his wedge (not sure if it's a new Mizuno) and settled in to execute a heroic shot. Unfortunately, he was on a downslope on a soggy fairway and laid the sod on the ball, but it also was the queefiest sounding queef imitation that I've ever heard. I could not stop laughing. I laughed to my bag for my 60*, laughed during my PSR, stopped during my downswing, and continued during my follow through. I ended up hitting it to 4 feet, which TCG buried for a push, but it was the most relaxed shot I hit all weekend.

Dagoose had 3 worthy shots just on Sunday for shots of the week. First was the stinger under the trees while he was next to the cart path on #15. Leaves him just off the green but then drills the clutch putt for bird to go up 1. I tie the match on 16 and then dagoose once again comes up with a clutch up and down on 17 to go up 1. He's in the right rough greenside and I have to chip over the bunker on the left which I get over but runs out to the back rough. I chip to about 5 feet, and drill the putt to make bogey. Dagoose hits a great chip to about 5 feet as well and drills the putt to go up 1.

 

Then 18, well, I dont have anything to say about the shot heard around the world. Was just an amazing putt...like one of those magical moments where dagoose just stepped up to the plate and knocked a grand slam. Great match between us, up and down like a roller coaster the entire round. Well deserved win.

 

 

The only thing I can think about that I hit well was the shot on par 3 16th. Dagoose hits his tee shot short and into the rough. I think it was playing around 178 yards that day and I hit a nice little cutter with my 5 hybrid to go about pin high but on the right side. Lag it up there nicely for a 2 putt par. Only other shot I can think of that I hit pretty decent was on the 14th on Saturday. We're on the leftside bunker and I pretty close to the lip. I had to get it out and high enough to give Stix a decent shot at a putt. I'm not the best bunker player, actually I'm pretty terrible at it, but hit one that just makes it over and I guess one hopped and checked according to Stix. Gave him a little tough downhiller but it was definitely better than my usual result of either chunking it or skulling to 40 yards over lol.

I received my Nike Method putter and it is too long. I usually play a 33.5" putter and this is a standard 35". When I grip the club where I feel like I naturally should I'm at the bottom of the grip.

Is the grip size the only issue? Are the dividers actually full length?

 

Putter well size is the only issue I have with this bag. I don't really know how to check if the dividers are full length (the description says they are), but I have midsize grips on all of my clubs and have had no issues pulling anything. Here's the description from their website:

I actually hit that wedge to 20 feet and two putted for par. I dropped my wedge and was sad because I thought Fabb wasn't going to want to be friends with me anymore.

sure, i'm not one to dissuade further convo or info. i mean, the question just reads wrong. maybe it's different if asked out loud. the vast majority of WaPo opinion articles on the matter have been in favor of the name change. if there was an overriding agenda, it clearly would be to get the redskins name changed.

I'd suggest reading the extended interviews. If anyone comes away with the impression that 9/10 Native Americans support the name, then they failed reading comprehension. Anecdotally, as someone who grew up in a region with a large Native American population and a lot of reservations, I knew better than to use that term. Would have got stomped with a quickness.
