Flat Bill Hats

long time lurker, first time poster here.

 

This has probably been discussed before, but what is the consensus on the flat bill hats? As much as I want to wear one I can't help but think I look goofy in it. It also seems to be a trend among teenagers and kids as well.

 

Maybe it is possible I just haven't found one that fits correctly? The New Era hats all seem so boxy.

New era has some of their flat brim hats in what they call a "low crown." This eliminates the boxy look of the hat. I buy these types of hats but always bend the brim. Flat brims look silly to me.

I'm 35 and wear them. It's silly to me why some hate on something as irrelevant as to how someone wears their hats. Go with whatever fashion sense you feel like.

Wear whatever hat you want. Some people like them, some don't. Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in one, but I am not the one wearing it so that don't matter. :-)

Me too. The Nikes are really nice. They stretch a lot and don't stand up super high. And yeah, you can wear it like Rory did and bend it a little and it looks fine.

 

I have a huge head (7 and 5/8 hat size) so to me they look fine.

2) I've always worn the bill of my hat flat, since I was a kid in little league.
You can say whatever you want about it, but I think that people who taco their hats are rednecks and hillbillies. So anyone that's looking at me like I'm stupid, I'm looking right back at them the same way

I have a few flat (mostly from pros that I caddied for) I use them once in a while, like some here I really don't care what anyone is wearing, I am 43 and really passed the "look what I am wearing phase", I happen to like bright colors, on tournaments I wear certain combinaitons with a flat bill "or not", it just happen to be the color that matches the outfit (flat bill or not) as long as you are comfortable, wear what ever you like, haters are going to hate anyways...good luck
