Flat Bill Hats

Recommended Posts

1) who is that girl, I'm in love !

Soo Jin Yang, a top fashionista on the KLPGA tour.

Forget flatbiils. I'm thinking about starting a new trend, fuzz balls.

What a great thread this turned out to be.

Of course, there are some fashion trends that should simply go away. Horizontal striped pants should only be worn by penitentiary golf teams.

Hmmm, is a driver's cap considered a flat bill cap?

Here's the science behind it, for those who care...

Flat/moderately curved brims block more sun. Period.
It's cute that you think you starting wearing them because others started wearing them because they were better at keeping the sun out of their eyes.

BTW I heard that wearing dockers three sizes to large and letting them droop down so your a** hangs out cures heart disease do you may want to try that too.

Seriously - why are clown outfits that the woman in the above pics is wearing OK on the golf course, but jeans are not. Seriously.
Apparently you don't follow Korean women's golf. They have more color than a Nascar event. Huge following, and high involvement from clothing sponsors. 'Much better than the plain 'ol clothing worn in the states.

Not in the least. Someone was just being delusional trying to act as if they weren't simply following some trend. So no,not angry but I do laugh and mock grown men who wear them on the course just as I do anyone who dresses like a 20 year old tour player trying to set himself apart. You show up looking like that and you had better have some pretty strong game and thick skin.

Says the "man" wearing flat brim hats while trying to convince the world he does it for eye protection instead of looking edgy and cool! Knock yourself out bro but contrary to current pop culture everything is not OK and people will judge you. Now the big question is do you color coordinate your Ricky Fowler hat with your manpris?

You have to learn to relax and laugh at yourself because when you wear those hats to the course everyone else will be laughing at you whether you know it or not. That is today's tough love PSA!

If not curving my hat like a backwoods hillbilly is a trend, then I'll say a big ol' yee-haw to that. There is nothing wrong with a big taco-curve, it's just counterproductive to the purpose of the hat. At this point you have blurred the line between function & fashion. But you won't hear this grown man complain about it.

My hats have nothing to do with Ricky Fowler, I'm not sure what manpris are (Ohio thing?), and if you're the type that makes habit of judging others, you should work on being a better human, not the fashion police.

I wear flatbill caps all the time, although I bend the bill a little. And I don't care what others think. I wear what I like.

I wear flat bills all the time. I find it interesting that people associate it so much with younger people and I just remember how my grandfather would tell me I ruined my hats by putting a curve in them when I was a kid. Flat bill+sunglasses way to go
I have a big head and I wear Titleist New Era 5950 hats in size 7 3/4. I don't bend the brim and I wear it flat because I wear sunglasses when I play. If I bend the brim, the edges of the brim will push down on the edges of my glasses and make them uncomfortable.

The flat bill hat look is not for everyone. Looks good on some and not on others. Same can be said for other fashions....like Loudmouth clothing for example. Its a shame that some of you are using bully tactics to suggest that other posters on this board are being laughed at or mocked by everyone because of their fashion choices. Please realize you do not speak for everyone and only yourself.

Make sure you leave the sticker on the brim if you really want the ghetto look.
A sticker on a hat isn't ghetto....It's a hip hop and skateboarding trend, not "ghetto".
It's just a way for him to mask coming out and saying "if you want to dress like a black guy." But you're right, hip hop and skateboarding, which both have probably the greatest influence on popular style and on each other's style.
