Very nice surprise here. The cool cover with keychain loop is a super nice bonus. The putter gods have blessed me this Valentine’s Day.

That’s why I’m trying to delete.  Listed an item then changed the price for a quick sale- ding.  Listed a second item but it was listed within 24hr of the other one-ding.  On the Mills putter group and had likes/questions about another putter and asked if they were interested in buying-ding.  I hate to loose eBay fees but damn. It’s hard to figure this site out.  Possible 4th ding for the word EBay coming.

The Hakd Made got a rainbow update, kind of a black pearl finish.  It took about 12 shots of Citristrip and then warming it up with a heat gun to finally scrape the old paint out.  If anyone ever questions the quality of paint that David uses, I'd definitely vouch for it.  I think I'll leave it naked for now, but may fill in the sight line at some point.

If you recall from page 48, it started it's life with a matte black PVD finish:

But I like how it's matured...

I don't want to derail this thread, but what is the point of the "slot back" and "bullet" soles?  It seems like David is doing this on many of his putters now.  I feel like the look of the slot back topline looks so strange at address, and really takes away from his classic style.  Maybe this is his way to innovate on his original designs, but is there really a performance benefit from the slot?

"The slot back contains several features designed to enhance performance and feel during the stroke. First, the actual “slot” milled in the back wall of the putter creates a more fuller look at address. The “slot” also enhances the ease of alinement by providing a second profile as the ball is placed over the sweet spot. Second, by milling the smaller slot in the back wall the response to the strike should provide a quicker feed back to the player.

An example to help understand if a pebble is dropped in a large pan or dish the wave it creates travels longer to get to the edge and then back to center where as if dropped in a small dish the wave would return much quicker to the edge and back to center providing a more rapid response. This is the thought with regard to the smaller “ slot” all done while balance is perfectly maintained."

As for the bullet sole, there's a few reasons: Aesthetics, weight management, and slightly increases MOI
