^^^I'm sure he is! We've conversed via email recently and he told me it will ready to ship by the 28th. Which would be 4 weeks on the dot. Which is what his website says his build time is. Didn't mean for it to sound like I'm complaining. Just anxious! I have full faith when it does get here it's gonna be perfect!

Finally got the email I've been waiting for!!! Chip let me know my putter will be shipping on Tuesday! Almost a full week early!! So pumped! He also sent me progress pictures. Which I'll attach below. Little background I ordered this putter to celebrate the birth of my daughter Gracelyn. What you won't see is the black steel shaft that will be installed.

Finally got a chance to take my BL1 (pics above) out for the first time yesterday. Overall I'm extremely impressed with the quality and feel of this putter and after the session I have it tied with my 2+ year old gamer. I'll put it through another test tomorrow but early indications are very good for it to move into the starting rotation.

Which black ox finish is this? It appears to be the glossy. Very good deep finish whichever it is. Great design on this one!

Do you think Black Lab could block of the toe on their BL-1 or are the heads all milled externally and only small changes can be made? I like the looks of the BL-1 but the toe is just to slanted from the top to bottom, I like a blockier toe like Byron's DH89 or the Lajosi DD201. Thoughts?

He could grind it/shave it, yes. He does it to the heel of the #2 shape quite a bit for people now (you're welcome, everyone). The advice to contact Chip directly though is spot on.

I visited Chip's Shop (Usher Golf) in Savannah yesterday. Top shelf, first class operation. In fact, I dropped off a Cleveland carbon steel putter for refinishing and I bought a Black Lab and a Tad More. Black Lab putters are pretty awesome.
