I have a set of pro forged irons in black, only used a few tines, stiff c taper kbs tour shafts, standard lies etc, few layers under lamkin grips.

 

I actually have two sets of these irons!

Well are they c tapers or tours....?

Their KBS Tour c taper 120 s shafts.

These are very high on my list (716 mb).

If you haven't seen/hit these yet, they're smaller heel to toe and overall more compact than the 716's - Not a tremendous amount but certainly noticeable especially in the black. Also less offset throughout the set, which for me was the selling point. Both iron sets have fantastic feel, so can't go wrong with either just depends what you're looking for in a club.

The black also makes it look slightly smaller than a chrome head.

Thought I'd jump on this thread, even though it's been awhile since anyone's posted. I've been playing my King Pro MB/CB set for 7-8 months now and really love them! To the eye, the CB's have the look of a blade, with the confidence to work it however I want. And I cannot say enough good things about how the blades look and how they perform! I bought them at a Golf Galaxy so they came in stock KBS C-Taper stiff shafts and I played them that way all summer. But recently I got fitted for something a little stiffer so I just purchased DG X7 shafts that will be installed as soon as they arrive! I added my own paint fill and since everybody likes to see what other people are doing, I thought I'd share!

Why aren’t they blacked out or all black? Why does it have murdered out? Sorry that phrase just bugs me

I've had the black full CB set since they released. After nearly 2 years, the black finish has held up extremely well. Granted, I play in the midwest so I don't quite have 2 years worth of use from them but I couldn't be any happier. Whatever this "diamonized" finish is on these, they have to keep using it because it is a million times more durable than a standard PVD finish.

 

I'll try to post some pictures in the next couple of days.

I've had mine for a few weeks now. The black finish shows literally zero wear. Just recently removed all the paint fill and did the numbers in red. If I get the gumption I will post pictures. Overall a great set of irons. Really pleased with the distance control and workability.

Currently play Amp Pros from four years ago, haven't found anything to kick them out of the bag yet. But have always liked the way the black King Pros look. But as a lefty, have never been able to demo them. Thought about just going ahead and ordering them, but don't think there will be much of a difference if I order the same shaft I've played in the Amp Pros (Tour Issue S400). Don't want to order a new shaft in them without demo-ing.

 

That's the dlilemma. The Amp Pros for me are a perfect iron set, so in the bag they stay...

 

I do love all the custom paint jobs too, which is a horrible reason to switch sets but they look so damn cool.
