Rife Barbados

I have every color variation of Barbados that Rife ever made. It was a game changer for me on the greens 10 years ago and I still use it to this day.
well than you'd know Scrumpy, is that a factory color scheme on this one in the pictures or has that been redone? I honestly couldn't remember so I took a SWAG that it was.

Black is a stock color, but this looks to have been re-done in their own finish. Rife made it it in Sterling (kind of a silver matte), Tropical (a cool rainbow-y oil can-y shine), and black.

While I didn't ask, I'm sure that my putter was re-done by Slighter. It's prettier in person.

EDIT: Reached out to Tom Slighter - here is what he said: Kuro Kaminari (Black Thunder) finish and painted it.

There is a Golf store where I live that bought all the remaining inventory from Rife. They literally have hundreds of Rife putters. I putted my best with a Barbados many years ago.

Whoa. Where is this? Seriously? Do they have any 2 bar mallets or blades center shafted. Barbados? Prices?

I've had a bunch of Rife putters over the years. I have two center shaft 2 bar mallets (one straight - one double bend) and an Aussie. I've sold or traded a number of others but won't get rid of those.

I still use my center shaft Barbados and doubt I will ever find anything better. I put a SuperStroke Mid Slim 2.0 on it last year and it got even better. Only sad part is that the RIFE name plate that sits in the cavity behind the face fell out somewhere thus winter so I would like to find a replacement if possible. Mine also has a torched finish, (see avatar) which could stand to be re done this season. Was actually pretty easy to do with a propane torch.

Love Rife putters. Still use OG 2 bar mallet and a Deep Blue.

I have always been a blade putter kind of person. The one mallet I have ever used was the Barbados. I saw some at PGA recently in the black finish and have considered picking one up. Whenever my putting went down the tank I would pull out the Barbados.

Wonder why I ever sold it.. :(

In homage to this thread and my own putting s$$te-mare at the weekend I've just bought a CS one on ebay for $52 shipped.

Putter arrived on the door step yesterday evening. Fantastic build quality and really nice milling, though is it milled in the rear mallet? Good roll from the face and I like the anti-glare black finish. It came with a Golf Pride Snsr Grip pistol 104cc which I'm not sure about but will stick with for now.

For $52? ;) I don't think you're selling it for that hehe

I have a black one already, I'm more interested in getting a sterling or the ever-elusive rainbow finish. I had a sterling one until my nephew came to visit and claimed it as his "next birthday present".
