I think I know the answer but, Is there any way to get on this course without knowing a member? I am going to be visiting the area from the UK in August and hoped I might be able to play.

I am member of a Royal club here and a club in St. Andrews, Is it worth contacting CHCC directly and asking?

Pretty much no way without knowing a member. Another technicality is that the member has to play with you and can't just set up the tee time.

It's possible if you're a member of a prominent private club that your pro could call and get you on.

Yeah that's going to be really tough unless you know a member. I have a family member on the PGA staff at Cherry Hills and I haven't even played it yet, as they aren't allowed to bring guests to play (not even their spouse).

Good news is, there are plenty of other good options in the Denver area.

I think it would be definitely worth trying by having your club/pro send a letter of introduction.

If you do not get on, there are a ton of options in the Denver area, and I would recommend going to Colorado Springs and checking out the Broadmoor or the Air Force Academy courses.

American clubs sometimes really like foreign clubs ... your chances may be higher than you think.

Coolest thing about Cherry Hills is that Arnold Palmer threw his hat in the air there. IMO not worth the pain of trying to get on. Lived in Denver for a few years and played there three times (friend's family are members), IMO one of the most overrated courses on the planet. Many of the recommendations above are just as good IMO. It is one of the few very highly regarded courses that I kept asking myself what was so great about this course, to this day nobody has given me a viable answer......except.....this is where Arnold Palmer threw his hat in the air.
