The thing I look for most out of a ball is staying low spin off the tee, but still maintaining spin I need into the greens. I have always loved to flight my clubs in different ways depending on the shot needed, especially with the wedges. Flight low with the one hop stop. Not too much spin but still ability to hold.

 

The feel is another aspect. Has to be just right, especially off the putter. Soft, but not like a marshmellow, yet still produce the "click" off the face. Almost impossible to describe, yet I know it every time I feel it.

While I'd love to not have to worry about it, price is absolutely the primary concern, followed by spin. With the availability of balls like the MTB, we finally have tour ball performance with lower cost so I can enjoy the game at a high level without drowning $4 golf balls!

Prefer an urethane cover ball with soft feel off all clubs and mid to high launch. I also look for mid to high spin off of irons and around the greens. Price is key as well. $40-50 a dozen is way too much.
