KBS Hybrid Prototype

Does anyone have feedback on the KBS Tour Prototype hybrid shaft? I have a 95 S+ and it is very very stable. Sometimes it is hard to load but when I do it feel the best I've every felt a wood/hybrid shaft feel. I was thinking of picking up some 85 Stiffs since I play my hybrids a half inch short to soften it up.

I would go to the 85X. stiffness will be similar. Just a lighter weight. should be easier to load.

I've hit the 95 x-stiff version and it was very stable. The flight was mid flight, not too high, but nothing that was low. Even with a few bad swings, the shaft produced solid results and kept the ball from going too far offline.

Tested the 85s and will echo what has been said. Very stable and has helped keep the hybrid from going left

Anyone else playing KBS in their irons? I just switched to Aerotech 95 S. Aerotech profile is similar to the Nippon 120 and the KBS Hybrid is almost exactly the KBS Tour. But I heard Kim Braly say in an interview that there is a hybrid in this line for to complement every KBS offering.

Had a fitting ar club champion and during the fitting my fitter put a kbs proto 85 in an M2 head, and the shaft felt amazing to me. We didn't explore too many hybrid settings because of the results I was seeing in my irons. We were not sure what lofts we would need in hybrids to fill the gaps. Having said that, I would put that proto 85 stiff in whichever loft filled the gap..... great shaft

What flex is everyone playing in relation to their irons/woods? I'm assuming I'd want to go with S+ to match my C Tapers but couldn't find any info on this. Did I completely miss this on their site?

Should this shaft play at the normal hybrid length? Or the length of an iron?

These shafts look really nice, but I don't think many have played them just because of the price. $180 is pretty steep for a hybrid shaft.

I put the 95g S+ in my UDI 1 iron after having the C-Taper S+ in it (previously had a Diamana D+ Hybrid in it but didn't like it) and it helped to lighten up the overall weight of the club without losing any stability. I originally put the C-Taper in to be inline with other irons and to help with anti lefts which it did but the weight made it hard to hit off the deck consistently. Once I put that KBS Prototype in - it will take a gun and crowbar to get that 1 iron out of my hands.

Does anyone have experience with working this shaft in as part of their iron set? I'm toying with the idea of putting a 95S in my 4 iron and playing it a smidgen longer than standard to better even the gap between my hybrid and 5 iron. Current shafts are C-Taper 120S.

It is one of the most marked up shafts I've seen over wholesale. Will probably come down.
