Dez is out of the Big D.

So I know a few Boyz fans that participate on this thread.

I seen it coming a month ago. Adding hurns was the final straw. Dez is a locker room problem and doesn’t have the numbers to back it up anymore.

Still to this day the ONLY reason Dallas drafted him is because Jerry passed on Moss because of character issues and he didn’t want the same thing to happen again.

Dez will get picked up, if he wants to stay in the east I think it’s the Redskins.

Some games I loved him and others I forgot he was on the team, but mostly forgot. He will not be hard to replace.

My buddy taught Orlando Scandrick in high school out here in SoCal... Orlando comes back every now and then to watch some high school games and chats it up with my friend. He didn't say it so bluntly but led him to believe that Dez was for sure a locker room problem, maybe more of a diva. I dont think they will miss Dez, they weren't close to being good enough to be in contention anyway WITH Dez, so I dont see this move hurting them. The ONLY thing I see hurting them is him playing the Cowboys twice a year and whatever team it is gets him to perform at a higher level and he eats the Cowboys D up, which has also not been much of an issue for a lot of receivers. The Cowboys have a funny way of letting guys get comfortable on their team and underachieving while getting paid big bucks. I didn't believe T.O. was an issue, but I do believe Dez has been. This frees up a little room to bring in some youth at the position, someone who is hungry and wants to earn that check. Steven Jones seems to be moving away from his father's "family" type treatment of the players and I like it. Make them earn it, and if they don't, cut em loose. That's why they were so good under Jimmy Johnson. He did not tolerate mediocrity, and that's how it should be at this level. Dez will find a home, but that man is really going to have to earn some respect around the league instead of demanding it.

Draft starts in t-minus 30 hours. Who's everyone hoping to get?

 

As a KC native/fan I'm hoping they trade back into the first round, but don't know that they will. At minimum I think they trade up into an earlier pick in round 2. As aggressive as Veach has been in the offseason it's hard to imagine them just sitting still until the 54th. We need a lot of depth, but everyone is obviously most worried at CB which has always been thin and now Peters is gone. Fuller and Amerson could be promising, but rather have the depth in the event someone doesn't work out. D heavy draft for KC this year.

I think Belichick / McDaniels with a mobile QB potentially changes how the NFL plays offense.
