Nashville Area Golf

Hey All,

I'll be traveling to nashville from Chicago for halloween week. Was hoping to get some golf in while im out there. Any tips on weather to expect?

Also, recs on courses near Gaylord Opryland would be appreciated!

Both courses at the Hermitage are awesome. President's is my favorite.

I've only played President's Reserve and Greystone Golf club in the Nashville area.

President's had 4" of rain a few days before we played so that kind of ruined the round for me. I'll probably play it again in better condition at some point.

I thoroughly enjoyed Greystone with the exception of hole #12. You need some serious course knowledge to play that hole well in my opinion.

The course had a lot of character and a very friendly staff.

Lower expense (golf baller on a budget) Twelve Stones Crossing in Goodlettsville (exit 97 off of 65 I believe) and Legacy in Springfield (exit 108 off of 65 and go west towards Springfield).

Edwin Watts is right across from Opryland.

An abandon building with overgrown vegetation is all that's left of that Edwin Watts unfortunately.

Thanks for the recs! I ended up playing at Gaylord Springs. I wish I had some more time to play when I was there, definitely going back to Nashville soon!

I’m heading down to Nashville (conference at the Gaylord Opryland) in March; hopefully will play at least once or twice. Have a few courses in mind from this and one of the other threads. I’m sure there’s plenty of great spots for dinner & drinks, but any spots that are highly recommended or shouldn’t be missed?

Lots of good options. I like Husk and the Southern for higher end. If you're in the mood for BBQ, I recommend Martin's.

I'm heading to Nashville soon to play at Hermitage and trying to figure out area to stay. Any suggestions? Will be for two nights...will try to get down to the "city" area to check things out and eat at least one night.

It all depends on if you want to stay in downtown($300 per night and above) or stay in the burbs($125 and above). Hotel rates here are getting higher by the day. If you stay in the burbs, might want to look at hotels near the BNA airport.
