My main issue with the whole thing is that he passed the tour's test while taking the substance (can't remember the name) because it was at such a low dosage. He was prescribed the substance from his doctor. He even went and had an Olympic drug test done (the most rigorous test there is) and passed that too. Tim Finchem had final say on all these matters and still decided to suspend him. I just can't see him doing that if his name is Rory, Brooks, or Dustin.

In Stallings mind he was doing the right thing by showing the tour a flaw in their testing policy. He over estimated their ability to be reasonable.

Hot take.

It's a raw deal if other people have tested for stuff and not been suspended because it wasn't in the tour's interest, but the tour was using him to make an example of.

I mean, DJ with the Jet Ski.

Tiger's "time off" after the PGA that one year.

SS also didn't go to the grocery store and buy some "random bottle". His doctor told him to get that over the counter at a Kroger's. He discovered it later that it was banned and **told the tour about it even though he never tested positive for it**.

What's the "right thing to do" right there if you're the tour?

"Ok, Scott. Thanks for coming clean. We know it's not helping you. Just stop taking it. We can work with you on this."

OR

"HEY BOYS!!!! WE GOT A LIVE ONE HERE!!!! IT'S JUST THE PATSY WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!"

It was interesting to hear him talk about his suspension for PED's. I didn't know very much about the situation except that he had been suspended in the past. He got a VERY raw deal after hearing him speak on it. He never failed a test and essentially got penalized for being honest. He had just enough name recognition and exempt status for the tour to use him as a public example that their drug testing was working. He's not shy on his frustration. Will be rooting for him going forward.

He said at one point he had lower testosterone levels than his wife. I think that is why he was prescribed the OTC substance.

City as far as I know, everything you said is 100% true. But there is also a - somewhat disappearing these days - idea of personal accountability. If its not "his fault" than whos is it? His doctor told him to check and make sure it was OK to take it. And he admits the bottle said DHEA right in the name of the product - and he never checked to see if it was on the list. This isnt Tim Finchems fault or the doctors fault. Sometimes it has to be OK to just stand up and say hey you know what, I was lazy, I made a mistake, I think the tour was harsh but I took my time off and it wont happen again. But its a long leap for me between that and "raw deal".

I dont know anything about the tour policy or if it allows the tour to "cut people a break". But its a lot of conjecture to throw those other guys in there and then hold Stallings out as some sort of victim.

Also this story happened 5 years ago and I really couldn't care less about it.

Decent auction items for Maryland Junior Golf this year:

https://www.32auctions.com/organizations/43343/auctions/63769?t=all

Pikewood National is available, but I know we're all waiting for Kent01putt to put together that group event for us there gratis. Royal New Kent and Suburban look good if the bids stay low enough.

Hive Tour Titles: 0
Capitol Cup Singles Record: Undefeated.
Suck it, Ceejay.

Is Baltimore CC worth the 8 bills+ for a foursome?

Any of you dudes have a JPX 800 Pro (or newer JPX) PW laying around? I lost mine like 5 years ago and am going to switch back to those clubs for a while. none on global golf or 2nd swing. Might just buy a new JPX 919 model if nothing else.

Some guy on ebay wanted over $65 for one that was really beat up.

The thing to note is that you can't trade in old iron sets without the PW, so I don't want to take one from anybody where that is still the plan.

Drive up to 2nd Swing, hit everything you could possibly want, and buy all new irons?

Will be cool to see CCC this week. Read so much about Yeamans over the last few years but probably not a place I’ll ever get to play.

Need to go listen to the Stalling podcast. I’m all for personal accountability, it just seems like the Tour didn’t have much to gain by trying to make an example out of him and could potentially hurt themselves more. Between them and the USGA, both organizations could certainly use a large dose of image improvement. His physical transformation and getting back to competing each week is super impressive.

It certainly gets a lot of praise.

I'd like to play it.

But I'll die having never played it, before forking over a G to play it.

I dont know, $200 a man I dont think is all that outrageous for a high end private I would otherwise never get on - that seems to get really good reviews.

It's up to a grand for the foursome. Yeah, 250 each doesn't seem that bad. If ya win the auction, I might could be interested in kicking in for a spot.

Looks like its jumped since this morning. Depending on what sort of restrictions are put on the play, it seems decent.

You know, Troy is supposed to be this huge D-hole, but he seems genuinely heartbroken when all that comes up is Andy's jacket.

He loved her. He gave her his jacket. And she two-timed him with a 10 year old AND Thanos.

Andy was the worst. Never forget.
