I just got my snorkel blue delivered and it's definitely the Norse II (not zoned). I have a navy one on order too but it hasn't shipped yet. I ordered them a few days apart.

Per their US & UK websites, Ping's 2020-2021 fall/winter apparel is now available: https://ping.com/en-us/shop/products?category=apparel&filter=mid-layers,rainwear,outerwear https:

GOT IT and its fridgen awesome!!!! the fit, style, warmth, and color is right on point! The quality is amazing, even the way the zipper is shaped makes it extra easy to zip. it gives a updated "fitte

It's almost time for winter jackets not to be needed, at least here in our area, but I did want to pop in and say that I just got to handle (and order!) the Fall 2019 Norse II, the successor to the Norse from the past two seasons that a lot of us have been raving about in several threads here. I have loved the original Norse, but the styling on the Norse II just makes a good jacket look great! It is a bit heavier now, but the jacket has such a better shape and hang in the new styling. A very stylish jacket to wear on and off course. Coming in a deep navy blue, and a brighter blue. They will be sold out late Spring as usual, so if you're interested you need to get your PING account to order their stock soon!

Is the zipper any better? I’ve been wearing mine (2018) a lot, but every third time there’s a moment when I think the zipper is done for.

I didn't get to put it on, as sales samples aren't anything I can fit in. They are usually large, and I'm an xx large. So I didn't get to try out the zipper

The original Norse is fantastic as we all know.

I don’t think I can share photos yet. Although I do have them!

That collar is by design to not be a nuisance during a golf swing, so no, I don't see them changing that.

Well fwiw, Footjoy's jacket collars never bothered me. Not one bit. And a good collar helps keep the cold out better. So can we actually order it now ? How much ?

No, can't order now. Doesn't launch until Fall. Same retail price as the previous Norse.

If you have a Nordstrom Rack nearby, you should check it out. I was searching through the coats rack and found a Nike Aerolayer Golf jacket discounted to $70 but they didn't have my size. Only mediums and smalls. I'm a large. What I did find in my size was a Nike Aeroloft Hyperadapt jacket for $68.00. Wore it out this past weekend in cold and windy conditions and it kept me pretty warm. Warm enough that I had to take off my mid layer and I was still toasty.

You can also find other Nike and Ted Baker golf apparel there as well if you take the time to look around.

Thanks. Took a look at mine and unfortunately couldn’t find this but i did come away with an Aeroloft vest. Which i def did not need but bought anyway lol

Golfbaseuk is pretty legit.

It does look like the same one as this

https://www.tgw.com/ping-mens-norse-primaloft-zoned-ii-full-zip-jacket

I think tgw just has it labeled wrong because the zoned has a different back- or they have the wrong picture

Here is the new zoned on another site with a picture of the front and back

Most waterproof garments are shell garments and provide no insulation. You would wear insulation under them in cold weather (or not depending on if you run hot). You would have all sorts of insulation options to wear under a shell...light or heavy base layers, a pullover, a vest, a fleece, or even a light insulated jacket...thats up to you. Layering is more versatile than an insulated shell garment, as it's easier to deal with varied conditions.

Ordered the Norse Primaloft II on sale from Golfbase UK last Monday and it was here in the US within 5 business days. Very impressive, Golfbase. I wouldn't hesitate ordering from you again.

Like Chris said, the Norse II is a very nice looking piece. IMHO it definitely feels "thicker" than the original version, so I don't know how that is going to translate on the course. That was one of the most impressive things with the original -- it was thin, yet extremely warm. I wear a Medium and the Norse II Medium is slightly larger fit than the original Norse Medium. I somewhat wish I had sized down now to a Small, although the extra room may be perfect in the winter when I have a base layer and then a sweater as a mid layer. Quality of the fabric is very good. The Oxford Blue is a very nice, rich blue. The zipper is greatly improved over the original Norse. Tough to tell how much warmer it is because I was trying it on in 100 degree temps here in Dallas. haha

Very disappointed with the new ping Norse Primaloft II. I ordered size medium which is what I normally wear from Nike or Galvin Green. The jacket is heavy and big. It might be ok just wearing it around but Very uncomfortable swinging a golf club. Customer service was terrible. The guy didn’t seem to care whether I want to order another size.

Said I should receive an return number in 5 mins.

2 hours later, still nothing. So now I have to call back again.

I guess no ping Norse this year for me.

In my excitement over the price, I didn't realize that they only had large and ordered one. After reading the order confirmation email, I realized my mistake and had to email them to ask them to cancel my order (which 2nd Swing did as soon as they started working this today).

That made it much more difficult to bring myself to pay more than twice as much to order it from Golfbase (which was still less expensive than buying from PING or TGW).

I was not overly familiar with Golfbase. They must discount or have sales frequently. I noticed the sale price now, while still lower than Ping, is slightly higher than the sale price I paid a few weeks ago at Golfbase.

Also, as addition to my prior post, I ordered a Small from Ping when they put the Norse II online. I would have ordered from Golfbase again, but they only carry Medium and Large. The Small fit much better (for the record I am 5-8, 160 and wear medium in pretty much everything other than Footjoy). It's definitely thicker and heavier than the original Norse and will make a good everyday jacket for regular life, just not sure this is gonna be thin enough for my preferences for golf like the original Norse. I think these garments are more like Footjoy, where the fit is actually one size smaller than your normal size. I'm keeping the Medium too because it may be good for mid Winter when I am bundled up with a base layer, shirt and Mizuno Windlite. With that much additional bulk, the Medium may be perfect. I'll just have to get the sleeve length tailored a bit.

If that's the case, I may have bought one that's too large. I have a 47" chest. According to the sizing guides at both Ping and Golfbase (which are both slightly different) that's is an XXL. My Footjoy rain shirt and rain jacket are both XL and fit me well.
