Ping golf has 40% off on "selected" apparel, including the Elden, and, both the Breaker jacket and vest. Strangely, the web site shows color options, but, no picture of the actual color.

I hate their website. Something always seems to be broken. Today, depending on the brower that you use, you might be able to see the various Elden color options on the little picture below the large picture of the beige (Feather Grey) Elden. But, even on that, the color is muted. The Elden appears to be on sale at other locations as well TGW appears to have all colors available and is $4 cheaper than Ping is. They also have free shipping.

At 40% off, the breaker isn’t a bad deal. It’s nowhere near the jacket the Norse is at full retail, but at $80 or less, it’s a good buy for a good looking, average performing jacket (there’s no real “tech” in it). Just keep in mind the Breaker is a good bit of a slimmer fit than the Norse, so it will fit much more closely to the skin by design.

My golf club had the Breaker in stock - gray and beige. The forearms were a bit snug for me, so, it was a pass for me. I am right in between size S and M, so, unless I can try it on, I am unlikely to buy it. It is fun to look, but, realistically, I have enough gear for now. Though, I managed to lose a bit of weight, and, was a size M, but, some S's fit better now.

Yes, very form fitting through the arms especially. Material does stretch and move well, but it’s definitely more of a snug fit than most people are accustomed to.

Lastly, TGW has a good price on one of the Norse II jackets. But, I can't tell which one. They are calling it the Zoned Jacket. But, all of their photos are of the non-Zoned version. They are selling it for $110 (large & XL are available). If it's the non-Zoned version, this is a great deal. If it's the Zoned version, reviews haven't been quite as good. If I were in the market for another Norse II (and they had XXL available), I'd take the chance that they are selling the non-zoned version. If they sent me the zoned version, I'd return it saying that the jacket that they sent doesn't match the photos on the website.

The title says Zoned, but the photos and the description are of the fully insulated model. Tough to figure out which it is!

I first saw this a few months ago, when I was in the market for the Norse. I wrote TGW to tell them that the photos and title were in conflict with one another and included photos of both versions as well as links to Ping's website. They just got more confused and thought that I was talking about last year's jackets vs this year's jackets. By that point, I found the Norse II cheaper at Golfbase and just bought it from them and gave up on trying to help TGW correct their webpage.

PM me. You can wear them how you want them, but, PING is a Euro style cut, so ideally it’s designed to be pretty form fitting/tailored.

I have the black and grey vests and coats from the 2016 Nike Aerolayer line, can wear the vest over the coat, warm and very non restrictive. I got the new Steph Curry UA golf hoodie, which is a solid top layer if really cold.

2nd Swing has a listing for Ping Norse Zoned Jackets on sale at $99 but offer a extra 30% on Apparel. I am not sure if that is the “good” jacket or not but for $69 I’m sure I will get some good use out of it.

That’s the prior generation Zoned. Minimal insulation. Not bad for that price though.

tgw has the new norse 2 for $39 and change

The title says zoned but the description and pictures are of the good one. Also, the new version of the zoned is not available in the light blue color to my knowledge (its only available in one color) but regular norse 2 has 2 color options (both available at tgw).

I ordered the dark blue in large and XL last night to try out. If its the zoned, Ill send them back, but at $39 each, its worth the hassle of shipping/returns to see if its the good one, get the right fit, and send back one or both if it doesn't fit or isn't the good jackethttps://www.tgw.com/ping-mens-norse-primaloft-zoned-ii-full-zip-jacket

Quite possible it’s too good to be true. But considering I paid over $150 for my original Norse it’s worth the risk. I hopefully will get shipment confirmation tomorrow and get it delivered later this week

That price is too good to pass up. TGW has been weird lately with the Norse II. On Wednesday, they were selling them for $110, which was a great price. By Friday, they were out of stock and now, they've dropped the price another $70.
