KC gets out to a 2 TD lead, manages to maintain that cushion into the 4th qtr, I fall asleep, I wake up, and they're interviewing Phillip Rivers. WTF?!

 

I thought that game was a safe pick, but starting the week with an L.

 

Unfortunately, no lead is safe with this garbage defense. Can't wait to lose another home playoff game, like every other year.

 

I think both teams are having awesome years, but I have to give a slight edge to the fiery Rivers he is destined to get to the big dance. If they don't rush Melvin Gordon back to soon and can get home high school field advantage they might have half of a chance. The Chiefs have given us a load of highlights and Mahomes is a great addition to the youth movement and the future of the NFL. I fear injuries and losses at RB might be a little much to overcome in the playoffs. T Hill needs that burst and I think he's nursing an ankle right now.

 

ALL that said it a real shame the referees wanted to take over that game. I have never seen so many missed calls, and makeup calls in one game! I love both those teams right now. Won't be upset if either team can knock off the Patriots in the playoffs. Andy Reid and Phillip RIvers deserve a ring so either team gets in I am happy.

Since Hugh Jackson left town Baker M. is leading the league in passing yards per attempt. Baker has only been sacked once in the last 4 games, and that is fewest in the league.

Sun. game

Oakland +3

The Bengals have the worst defense in the league in over 6 categories. Wow! Raiders getting 3, but I say they win the game outright.

 

LA Rams -9

Jared Goff has struggled the last few weeks. He gets it sorted out in this one. Rams 6-0 at home this season. Wentz out. Foles starts the game after traveling across the heartland. Rams blow this one out by 14 minimum. Feel strong about this one.

 

2-1 last week, so I am expecting the same this week.

Ok it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Dark, Wet, and Cold. And being in the hospitality business way overworked and underpaid...all that said I managed to go 3-0 on my straight up pool I am involved in for monetary gains, taking the Chargers as a slight road dog and the Browns as a dog with the Texans.

 

The line had moved a lot because of the Nick Foles announcement a few days ago. Rams are favored by 13 Logic would say grab the Rams at home after getting smacked around by the angry Bears defense. I do not like it at 13 and I do not like it at 9. But I can not trust the running game enough for Philly to take this game. I think Foles might actually be a boost for the Eagles but not enough in this spot. If the game script would go correctly the cocky Sean McVay will lean on Gurley realizing the errors of his ways by forcing Goff to throw it way to much in the frozen tundra with his tiny Trump hands. Both teams might try to emphasize the running backs early and often, and the Rams have a big edge there. But Vegas has inflated this line because of the Foles factor. Rams have not lost a game at home, and Philly is 2-4 on the road. I want to go contrarian on this game so bad! But I think if the line was 10.5 I would do it but not at 9. I would love to put a small bet on the Eagles straight up on the moneyline. But that would have to be done with a lot of hedges.

 

We have another "YUUUUGE" game on the slate in the afternoon.

"Dumb Belichick" against the "Dumber Mike Tomlin" and his awful defense. You have heard it here first. Complacency is creeping in on Belichick with his stupid decision to put in Rob Gronkowski as a safety. The "tin man" is there to defend against the Hail Mary. News Flash!!! Ryan Tannehill can not throw a 70 yd Hail Mary! No need for the poster boy of ACE bandages to be on the field. Don't get me started on how awful Mike Tomlin is with his warped football my way mentality. Linebackers are not DB's

That was me last night! I was so bummed about having the lead in my pool going into Sunday 3-0 on the picks with Cleveland and LAC snags and my fantasy team losing in the playoffs because I played Corey Davis in a monsoon over Pettis WR for S.F even when I picked S.F to cover. I lose by.03 pts. The equivalent of a 3 yard gain. My wife thought I was quitting my job!

I like the Giants -2.5 Derrick Henry doubled his fantasy points total in one game. I don't see a repeat of that happening. G-men keep rolling.

Chicago -5.5 Da Bears are the real deal. The post-McCarthy Packers beat a dismal Atlanta team, but the ... what's the opposite of a honeymoon?... comes to an end at Soldier Field.

KC -2.5 The Chiefs had a scare last week, but without Gordon and Ekeler, the Chargers won't be grinding it out via the run.

Through the first 12 games, Derrick Henry ruhsed for 474 yards (39.5 yds/game). In the last two he almost doubles his yardage! 408 yds! And, more than doubles his number of TDs on the season! What the hell changed in Nashville?!

I knew I shouldn't ride a team on a hot streak that started out 1-7. They had a great home record vs the spread, but not favored in many (if any) of those games.

The Panthers are hosting the Saints. I thought about attending possibly just to see Suzi Kolber (Mon. Countdown show) in person as I have enjoyed that cutie on ESPN for years. I would be cheering for though for the amazing Brees so I decided to pass on attending.
