UST recoil 780 f4 stiff

recently purchased Hogan PTX iron set w/ recoil 780 f4 stiff....

 

they are junk!

 

would like to hear how other have fared with same shaft - good and bad

 

as point of reference - I have been playing stiff graphite iron shafts for 10+ yrs

including GAT 95, Program 130 & 95 & steelfibe 110 &95

Understand the frustration but maybe a little specificity of the word "junk" might help folks commenting.

 

I also had GAT and Steelfiber 95, and play recoils 95 F4 for the last 3 years. I had a Cally HYB with a 780 F4 and it felt dead, a bit weird. Ball went fine couldn't get any loading feel, gave it to my son and he loves it.

I recently got the recoil 110 in my 2 and 3 iron Uitilities; they are great.

 

I’m not sure why UST new iron shafts are junk as well?

 

I did not like any of their new irons shafts during my demos.

The 780 F4 seems like a light shaft for an iron. The 110 weight Recoil seems like it would be better for an iron set. I play the stock recoil F5 in my Exotics hybrid and while it does feel dead......I hit it great!

You are one of the very few that don't like them. Just because you don't like the way they perform for you doesn't make them junk. Maybe you should have hit that shaft before you bought them. Or, maybe, they were too good/much for you to handle. YMMV.

Since you have previously played GAT & Steelfiber shafts everything else you use will feel like junk to you. Those are the best two iron graphite shafts imo

Tried them on 2018 Callys x forged and was very positevely surprised. Great control, easy to load and nice feeling. By no means I would consider this junk. Clearly they did not fit you. Gaming kbs tour 120 S fwiw

Reading comprehension and shaft knowledge is just fine.
