I'm headed for the gutter ? ^ for what?

Your mind in the gutter when I say, "I could think of 1000 things I would rather watch women do dressed like this..."

Ok Pete, I Got It Now.

Just for fun here are Scottish women in the early 1900's.

They are packers/gutters of herring. slice 'em, dice 'em, pack 'em, and then roll 'em down to the R.R. tracks.

Gentlemen, It's time to forget about men getting dirty in the mud and the muck, or overhyped Super Bowls that really don't matter to anyone other than the bettors and the fans of those two teams Come in out of the cold and watch a game played by both men and women.

A game the whole country cares about. A game where the beach is just a short walk from the stadium.

A game where watching the women can be just as if not more entertaining than the men!

Come to Brazil, my friends... Women playing soccer and beach volleyball and a nice refreshing Caipirinha await! Felicidades!

Big soccer fan here. Especially the Women. The Men's team under double secret probation from that horrendous Trinidad and Tobago loss and missing World Cup.

OK, its time, and if I see the prop bets selected I will pile in on those as well, but if not I pick the "over" and "Edelman" for whatever they are.

I have had two weeks to conjure up a meaningful post concerning the upcoming game. I could have been watching the hype, and been star struck by the regalia happening in Atlanta this weekend. Instead, I have yet to see a minute of hype, and I honestly couldn't be more disinterested in this match up. Its a good v evil type of thing, and even then I only can feel the evil side. I have no emotion for the good side, which is LA. Heck, they are like a new franchise no one cares about. They have been in LA, then they went to St Louis because the Cardinals and Terry Metcalf moved to the desert, and then they moved back home. Its like the wayward adult child we hope we never have, just when you think you got rid of them so you can continue on with your own life, they move back in and demand attention. Well, I for one, have no interest in this floundering franchise with no hope of ever growing up and moving on. No matter how good they are, or were, no one wants them. Maybe even like the savant adult child hacker in the basement of their parents house. You know there is true talent there, you just wish it was living somewhere else.

On the other side, you have Tom Terrific. He is worse. We have to respect him because he is the best QB to ever throw a football, but we certainly don't like him (at least I don't). He is the Adam Scott of football, beautiful, perfect mechanics, the girls love him, the worst part is this guy wins which is a darned sight better than Adam Scott's record. So, do I want to watch the NFL's golden boy beat up on the basement hacker who nobody wants? Well, I don't, but I am sure I will because I get CBS.

In the end, I am going to take Adam Scott and give the points and I am going to take the over because they are going to close the dome on Arthur Blanks huge stadium. And, because there really is nothing interesting about this game, I will drop a nugget of history nerd on the group. I learned on a trip to Rome to take in the sights that Arthur Blanks retractable roof (or the Igloo for that matter) was not the first retractable roof. The Roman Coliseum had a system to cover the battlefield. Also, for some shows they would fill it up with water and have boat fights. I would like to see them try that in Atlanta, I bet they couldn't do it, but it might be the Rams only hope.

I think I will be tuning into the final round of the Waste Management Open because I have that course on my Tiger Woods Golf Masters Edition on PS3 Yes I still need to grow up.

But this year's Super Bowl I really have not much interest in. I guess you can drum up some hype if you watch all of the B.S shows promoting the game. The Half time show is not a show stopper for me.

I can not stand Tom Brady, he's the "Adam Scott" or Young "Phil Michelson" of golf reminds me of that Don Johnson guy in "Tin Cup" David Simms.

Jared Goff is the new kid on the block, If he wins they will start calling him the "Golden Boy" or "Hollywood and Goff," "Surfer Boy" I would give him a rap name like "G-Money"!

All I know is the Redskins hired a Ryan to be their linebackers coach. Yay! He will be in charge of a unit that really sucks. But he will also have to mentor a young Reuben Foster to take out his emotional imbalances on the football field and not at his girlfriend's place.

Well, I won my draft.com bet last week with 5 guys that did well at Torrey Pines including Justin Rose and Matsuyama. After this cold spell, I will be glad to say goodbye to January and if that means football then so be it.

Because the golf season is heating up and we are now in the second half of hockey when the checking starts getting fierce as teams clash for playoff seedings. I could care less about the NBA but will watch an occasional playoff game.

I will be cheering on Tiger Woods and the Caps because they need to start getting back to the winning hockey we were used to seeing last year. Offensive guys need to play more 2-way hockey.

The Masters is only a couple of months away and to be honest I get more hyped for that than the Super Bowl.

I still enjoy the game but the juices just are not flowing this year.

So here is a golf clap and a soft-spoken "go rams" as I yawn into the TV.

Hoping Aaron Donald wins the MVP! WHich would be very bad for David Simms or should I say, Tom Brady!?

Wow! That was not fun if you were pulling for the Saints and Rams

I feel bad for the Saints. Those field goals in the red zone cost them in the end

Hard to feel bad for a team that just a decade ago lost their coach-same one they have now-for a full season for deliberately trying to injure players from the other team. Even paying bonuses for doing so. The karma from Bountygate is still strong. Good to see.

Not following you. I like Drew Brees.

He’s a gamer, and their Defensive coordinator in question, not head coach has been long gone. The Saints have now missed out on two Super Bowls on the most unlikely plays in consecutive years. The last being a failure to call a blatant penalty

Not sure where you are coming from?

By your logic we should also hate on the Rams, Browns and now the Jets. Just because they had a ball breaking defensive coordinator? Gregg Williams is no longer with the Saints. Seems like a weak reason to throw shade at the Saints. But I guess to each his own.

Is this the Payton didn't know defense? One of the most astute head coaches had no idea what evil was taking place on his team? BS.

Williams has never been accused of doing the same under any other head coach.

Williams has never been accused of doing the same under any other head coach.

Payton came from the Bill Parcells coaching tree. The Giants defenses committed felonies on the field in those Super Bowl Era days. It was a different type of game. A game that built up the following that it has now. I would never advocate the actual practice of putting bounties on players. But you can not tell me Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Buddy Ryan, Mike Ditka and all of the other hard line defensive coaches never tried to knock anyone out of the game? Wrong! I have seen interviews with guys stating they were always encouraged to get hits on the best players mainly the QBs.

That's why I cannot buy the so-called "bountygate" stuff that happened to get leaked into the media by an employee who had been fired. People watching football want to see big hits. The hit to the head of a defenseless receiver in a championship game was illegal and should have been flagged. All that said I am not folding up the tent and taking my toys home because it was leaked about bounties that happened 5 years ago. What about Belichick and Brady with spygate, deflategate, shall I hate on the Bears because Dick Butkus killed a guy on the field, or the Raiders because Lester Hayes used to decapitate defenseless receivers? I mean I am not going to root against someone after the case had been litigated and he served his suspension while denying he had been the one who ordered that to happen.

Sounds like the NFL as an institution or a league that promotes a game with rules, should be on trial if we go down that road of pointing fingers and playing the blame game. He did his time and that's all you can hope for when it comes to interpreting what is right and wrong in the NFL.

I have more issues with the referees calling penalties in the regular season that were not enforced in the playoffs, seems like a real double standard to me.

So line and total seem pretty set so I'll post those, still working through props to find some gems.

NE -2.5

LAR 56.5

I'll kick off Super Bowl week!!

I've never attended a Super Bowl nor any of it's festivities before. This year, with it being in my city, I plan to go downtown on Saturday/Sunday and be a part of the chaos! The weather calls for rain both Saturday and Sunday. I hear the Benz will have its roof closed. I doubt thats what Arthur had in mind when he built this billion dollar facility.

Until they prove me wrong, give me the goat(s) and ill gladly give up the points! NE -2.5

Give me the over 56.5. Over 56.5

Edit for total score

NE 33 - LAR 27
