Do some research on real handmade putters from Scotty Cameron, T.P. Mills, and Tad Moore, just to mentioned the three most masterful putter makers in the business when it comes to handmade putters. There’s no debate in this issue, a handmade putter is not the same as a CNC putter softened up by hand.

>

> I used the term loosely to distinguish the difference between putter producers who engrave and mill everything on the entirety of a putter, vs those who do handwork on their putters. Respectfully, I know what a entirely handmade putter. You don't need to educate me.

Really? Because you are demonstrating otherwise your lack of knowledge. Lamb does not produced handmade putters! He can barely produce CNC versions. Using the term, as you say, loosely, does little justice to the real art of handmade putter making. School is over!

Seeing as though Tyson has his hands in totality on the design, milling, hand-grinding, stamping, etc, I admittedly used the term loosely, and not regretfully in the least. I know what a handmade putter in totality consists of producing. Please check yourself.

if i take a scotty cameron studio newport...and personally handshape the lines a bit, round the topline a bit, hammer the shoulders myself, stamp some marks, and paintfill...this is NOT handmaking anything. this is over-simplifying what lamb does.

please check this:

Paul, your example of a Cameron isn't matching up with what I was insinuating.

Secondly, I get what you're saying. I'm not disagreeing with you; and again I used the term loosely and exactly as I explained in the quotation you used to respond with.

Nice try, lol......Don’t be upset because I know what I’m talking about. Is ok, I understand, you are suffering from Lamb Derangement Syndrome, I get it, lol.......Remember, is just a putter, not a 401k plan. Enjoy it and don’t get caught up in the hype.

i was just using the cameron as an example - i do it all the time, even i know it's not handmade; why should tyson have the ability or authority to call it such? ie a putter that's been milled, and prepped for customization ...(or say, a lamb customer who wants softer lines, stamping, etc).

This reminds me of the Scotty Cameron threads of 10 years ago. Don't worry Lamb fanboys, it comes with the territory. No need to continually defend Tyson and his company. It is a fruitless exercise. Enjoy the goods you've purchased with your hard-earned dollars, and don't let the peanut gallery bring you down.

The hate comes from either a form of jealousy of not being able to obtain the goods(whether it is financially or the nature of limited access), or just random Internet people that want to argue about the color of the sky on a bright sunny day.

Cameron actually made handmade putters. The SCM putters are truly works of art. I don’t see any “hate”, but when people make outlandish claims, they have to be able to back them up.

Why you're overstating and beating a dead horse, I'm not sure.

I haven't seen, and never claimed to see, a fully handmade(ground) putter from Tyson. I said handmade loosely, claimed I did so, and restated what I meant. I look forward to reading more of your ability to put words, contexts, and controversy in my mouth.

Again, I think the overall totality of quality between the two's works are clearly different on an eye level. I'm not talking on individual putters, I'm talking about many, many putters. This is not a knock on Olson as, again, he has basically just begun producing for the general public.

I highly suggest you do so some research and you could have posted you prefer the push over pull method when laying down the weld. How about posting I notice and like that Tyson uses a figure 8 pattern when he welds. I think it looks better. Yet, you’ve nothing!!!!

>

> One doesn’t need a welding cert to see the difference in quality. If you’re asking for terms, I’ll be happy to explain my way thru it, but even you can see the difference.

Don’t post for me, because I don’t see the difference between the 2 putter makers welds and I don’t own either. Weld marks don’t really matter to me anyways when I purchase a putter!

being an avid Tyson fan, I think we need to clarify that his putters are not "Handmade" He himself has said this multiple times on IG. Here is what I am referring to. yxsvrrez0y2p.jpeg

I always thought that font on the bumpers was pretty cool. Is that engraved or stamped?

Those were sold in early 2018 in Japan. I think there was only one originally that was sold in the US. That’s probably the one, although I’m sure there are others over here now.

The Korean link posted aren’t legit Lambs. I’m speaking of the putter picture listed above that 976 picked up.
