Yeah I remember the yellow DG frames as sort of being the holy grail of frames amongst the guys I hung with. They were incredibly light. That Gurney I showed in the pic was essentially how it looked when I got it for Christmas. I lightened it up with thinner alloy spoked rims etc.. and never got it under 27 pounds if I recall correctly. I remember hearing some of these hot shot types with sponsors getting their bikes to under 22 pounds which I never understood lol... I think DG frames hovered just over 3 pounds. Think my Gurney was just shy of 6 pounds but it was indestructible.

So did we Bob,

I can barely remember the glass bottles. The ole slick cardboard container came around when I was 5 or 6. I can't remember when door to door milk delivery service ended in this area, but it was sometime in the 70's. I drank my share of unpasteurized milk at my Grandparents house. They still kept a dairy cow for their milk, and made their own butter through the 70's.

I did. Truth I sometimes used masking tape and attached small toads and sent them into orbit. I did find a few that parachuted back to earth unscathed. Lol. boys will be boys.

This Easter Sunday I am saluting a favorite 70's artist of mine Bob Welch.

A sailboat ride at sunset coming into port. There is a bottle of pinot grigio, a little herb, some fine cheese, crackers, and fresh fruit. This song (extended version) is cranked. Anyone with me?
