That's another one of those I remember from riding the school bus to elementary school. I looked it up on youtube a few years ago to see who did it. Probably on WLS, there were no FM stations in range at the time that played rock.

I too listened to WLS on the bus to school.... around 1979.

In 1978 shortly after I got my drivers license I brought home a TA just like this to ask my Dad if he was ok with me spending 1500 of my hard earned dollars on it. I had it back to it's owner rather quickly. Smart man, I'da probably killed myself and took out a few of my friends on the way.

Fun memory for me: I saw Jimmy Buffett open for Marshall Tucker (circa 1980) at MRF. Buffett killed it that night, but more importantly, if you remember the frisbees that used to fly around the venue, I caught five of them that night!

I obtained my first car in 1979. I worked after school and on weekends at KFC. ugh.

It was a 1974 Olds Cutlass Supreme and it looked like this one.

I thought I was bad a**. It got the chicks to the drive in theater in South County St. Louis though just fine. Of COURSE it had a

K-she bumper sticker on it!

In 1996 there was a guy at my high school (affectionately known as "cow pie high" given its location surrounded by cow fields) who restored a late 70s cherry red Trans Am. On the first day he brought it to school he floored it turning right out of the parking lot and promptly flipped it into the drainage ditch on the other side of the 2 lane country road, taking out a road sign in the process. A friend of mine who also witnessed this from the line to exit the parking lot promptly put his car in park and fell out of the drivers side onto the driveway laughing his behind off.
