That tune is awesome. The high school football team played it in the locker room pretty much every day before practice.

Us poor Jr. high guys could hear the music, but actually had to dress behind the building. We had some Spartan conditions for a year there, while a new high school, and football field was being built.

I've mentioned that I lived in St. Louis in the late 70's.

How about some smooth vocals by Mr. Rawls? !! I dig him.

Some of us want to know did you have your first bottle of JOVAN back in the junior high football days? :p

What positions ( both sides) did you play?

I was too small to be a running back, I was 5' 9" 142 as a senior, and a shorter same proportion guy in my younger years.

We ran a wing T with a 7 man line, so I was a tight end on offense, and played corner on D. I was a gunner on punt team, and outside ball pursuit on kick off team. On punt receive, I sometimes was outside rush dude, sometimes returner. Kick off receive, always the intermediate distance return guy. When I hit my junior year my workload decreased, but before that I played a few games with not many minutes on the sidelines. Ahhhh, the benifits of attending a small school.

Never was a star, just a grunt, caught a lot of passes, got some picks, deflected several passes, and got a bunch of tackles.

Did you play high school football touch?

Thanks for the low down on your young Hoosier's football days.

I played JV one year. I was not tough enough as any solid hit shook me bad. I was 5 foot3 and 130 lbs. I did shoot up to 6 foot and 150 by graduation though. I was relegated to special teams on game days only. I took up golf the next summer and did that in H.S. for the next 3 years.

> As far as the Jovan, I think I got my first bottle when I was in 8th grade. I alternated it with Brute in high school. As I remember the chicks really dug it. People who Knew me then may have a different opinion though. :)

So you were a multi fragrance guy early. You trend setter you!

I too alternated. In H.S. it was both fragrances from Halston.... z-14 and 1-12.

But I found the Boones Farm to work better with the females than the sweet smelling splash.

lol

At our school the best football players were on the varsity their sophmore year because of our small numbers. We played a lot of JV games with 14 guys, so that was the reason for my heavy work load, not that I was good. I wish I would've played golf in high school, maybe I'd be a better player now.

Looks like you were ahead of the curve on the cologne, cool looking bottles. I wore stuff that I got for Christmas, and the two I mentioned were popular gift choices.
