Skyway was so cool...felt like we were flying. Disagree on the Screaming Eagle v. the original coaster(s). Yes, the SE was bigger and faster, but the originals were really, really good rides...especially the one on the right, with that sharp left turn before the final drop. (Yeah, I know you remember.) ?

Vintage photos like yours always resonate...well done!?

That's easily my favorite Eagles tune. How about a deep cut for our neck of the woods?

Oh that right Mine Train track was a far superior layout. I do remember that stryper. But please help me out with something. Upon walking up to the Mine Train ride one got to select which set of turnstiles ( each set corresponded to one particular side) to enter, correct?

So the left one always had far fewer kids waiting in line than the right train at any given time? I think I'm correct. Remember they had a hella lot of HR Pufnstuf characters running all over the park?

See if you can find him on the cover of this early Six Flags MId America brochure. They had a licensed agreement I believe.

You are correct. If you wanted less wait time, you chose the one on the left; if you wanted a thrill chose the right. (The lines on some of those rides were more than an hour long, so you really had to have a strategy going into the day...we started with the log flume and more or less worked our way clockwise around the park.) Eventually they closed the left track to make room for other things.

Looks like Mr. ‘Stuf is about to get run down by a runaway train. ?‍♂️
