Why don't Single length irons look like this?

Isn't this at least the solution for the low worm burner single length long irons? At least for those without the right pattern and a ton of speed.

Edels have something along those lines. They'll adjust the weighting in the head for each club to get the launch angle, landing angle, spin rate and carry distance for each club where you want it.

You're right. I've been harping on this over the years. The cheapest ones are just the same exact heads with different lofts. I'm sure it will come to this kind of arrangement. It's not just SL where this is an issue in GI and SGI irons.

Wishon Sterlings do this. Regular heads in 7-w and the 6 down are hot faced.

My son, a pro I helped coach to his China PGA tour card and I have all tried the Wishons extensively. Low bullet long irons with the hot face that feel crazy different from the other clubs was our collective experience.

 

@RichieHunt I know that Edels attempt this and they've really tried to get the right shafts in place. But the size of the heads seem to make the task mathematically impossible.

 

The long iron heads need to allow CG to be placed deeper.

At the moment, I think the Cobras might be the closest to what you are looking for.

I read that Bryson tweaked the lengths of his set make up a few months ago.

Yes, hollow body, custom weighting, etc are in some of the sets, but this tech seems to be mostly pushed by VL manufacturers, ala, PXG, TaylorMade. IMHO, this is where they could really push the SL tech, but I think there is not enough profit to spend in this area.
