Looking for 15-Way Stand Bag for Push Cart and Range

Decided to walk more this year and am looking for a bag that I can use for both the range and with my push cart (Clicgear 3.5+). In looking through various manufacturers the two bags I've narrowed it down to are:

* Sun Mountain C130S

* Ogio Alpha Convoy RTC

Anyone have any experiences with the two listed above or have recommendations on a similar 15-Way bag?

I have a Sun Mountain 4.5LS that's very good for walking and use on push cart (I use for both). PM me if you'd like more info because I am looking to sell it.

 

I found the C130S to be very bulk and more built for riding cart use.

The c130s works great on a pushcart but it’s only a 14 way bag so your alignment sticks won’t have a separate slot.

Greetings, Timmy8151. Have a Sun Mountain Sync (14 pocket - have mid-size grips and still able to fit the 15th club, i.e., alignment sticks) for my Clicgear 3.5+. Good for both push and riding cart. Given I don't take more than 3 or 4 clubs to the range, I use a really small Maxfli bag stand bag that I found at Golf Galaxy on sale for about $35. It's big enough for many more, could even put my wife's clubs in the bag and carry her clubs, too, to the range. But she wanted a range bag, as well, to carry her own clubs so she could practice away from me. Said my swing was too embarrasing, but I am OK with that given I put a couple Snickers bars in the tee pocket to enjoy unencumbered. Not sure why, however, she gets more golf balls than me for the same amount of money.

Lol... it was more for my ball retriever ...

 

I guess it doesn't have to be a 15-way bag and I should have noted a putter well as I currently use a Directed Force Reno which is humongous so I just want to separate it from the other clubs.

Just purchased an Ogio RTC when the handle on my SM Hybrid (predecessor to the C130-S) broke. The final decision came down to these 2 bags. RTC has more storage (and more practically arranged, IMO), better quality zippers, and a massive putter well. C130-S has a better stand mechanism. Both work flawlessly on my Clicgear. Both are fantastic bags, but now that I have it I don't regret spending the little bit extra for the Ogio.

If you have a PGA Superstore in your area, they are closing out the current RTCs. I snagged an orange for $179. Rest were marked $249 though. May have been the color. I like the bag a lot as it fits better on my Sun Mtn cart than the Sun Mtn bags do. Dividers go all the way to the bottom like the Sun Mtn and seems to have a heavier better fabric. Its a great bag but I would have never spent $300 on it.

The Ogio RTC bag is also just a 14 way but the putter well is huge.

The Bagboy Chiller, hands down.

 

I walk 90% of my rounds, but I don't carry anymore. I got tired of my stand bag not fitting well on my Clicgear, and not having a stand was out of the question. I looked at EVERYTHING; didn't like the pocket size on the OGIO, didn't like the price on the Sun Mt. Decided to try the Chiller because it was not only designed for exactly what I wanted by a company that makes push carts, but also because at the price it wouldn't be a terrible mistake if it didn't work out.

 

Simply put, it's the best golf bag I've ever had, hands down. It's actually reasonably light weight for the size, has GREAT pockets, and the layout is perfect for a pushcart. The dividers are arranged so that you can put the long clubs with headcovers down the middle, with the shorter clubs on the outside, and there is even a pocket for the carry strap to tuck away so it isn't flapping around. The real surprise was the small insulated cooler that carries four 12 oz cans; I didn't think I use that, but after a long, hot summer can't really overstate how great it's been. It's removable and tucks inside a dedicated pocket; just a great feature.

 

My ONLY wish for this bag would be a double strap, but I'm sure I could retrofit it if I really cared enough. But it carries nicely from the car to the range just as is.

Bluedot - do you have the Chiller stand bag or cart bag?

I am looking at a Cobra Ultralight cart bag, the Chiller stand bag, Ping Traverse or the new Chiller cart bag to pair with a Bag Boy Nitron push cart. I think I like the Cobra's 13 pockets, lighter weight and cooler compartment design better than the others . . .

I have the stand bag. And it's designed for push carts, especially Bagboy carts, of course. But works perfectly on my Clicgear.
