Does color help you find your ball?

Yellow is a bit easier for me to track through the air than white, but generally speaking I find white is easier to spot against green grass. The only color balls I struggle with is orange and red. I have color-blindness with reds, oranges, browns and greens...so the red/orange ball could be right in the fairway and I'll sometimes struggle to see it.

In league play I usually grab a pink ball... really stands out when there are a bunch of guys who spray the ball all over the course

 

and most of them aren't comfortable enough to play a pink ball

Pink balls are the best! Love the Maxfli Softfli, the only issue is they are getting harder to find in Dicks/GG and unless you order like 5 dozen you are going to pay shipping and i refuse to pay shipping on almost anything

The green and orange ball in my avatar (Noodle Neon) stuck out like a sore thumb when I played a midsummer round. Oddly enough, I actually lost the matte yellow one because it blended in super well...fairly well-struck shot that took an odd bounce to the right of the green. By all means, I should've been able to find it. I find this specific shade of green to pop out, as it's the "wrong" shade of green to match grass. Otherwise, I've had great luck with Bridgestone's Optic Yellow, except for circumstances where it's late afternoon/early evening and the sun is at an acute angle to the horizon...something about the light from a setting sun buries Optic Yellow. Then, I played an orange Wilson Ultra to great effect in early fall, but before leaves began falling...scan the horizon just a little, and it pops right out at you!

I don't know if yellow is easier to see than white, I guess it depends on the situation. Although, what I like about a yellow ball is that you can distinguish it instantly from the other golfer's ball in the same vicinity. I always like a little color in things, and I enjoy hitting a yellow golf ball.

In the fall I play exclusively yellow ProV1's. Courses I play have a lot of fallen leaves and the yellow is 100% easier to find then white.

I prefer the camo patterned balls.

I agree that the optic yellow colors (think yellow versions of the ProV1 and Z-Star) often blend perfectly into the grass when the sun hits the grass at various angles. Shiny blades of grass are very good at camouflaging a yellow golf ball. In overcast, they're more visible.

Other colors are much better at standing out in this condition - pink, orange, and bright lime green.
