My new Scratch Irons

just arrived

I just recieved these new Scratch Irons from Ari and wanted to share some pictures with the site. These are beautiful in person, i hope the pictures do them justice.

Figures that we are getting a mini- snow storm today in Michigan so i don't know when i will get to take them for a test drive, so the feedback about their performance will have to wait.

Hope you like the pictures and thanks to Ari and Scratch, if they play as well as they look and feel, look out for me next season.

Oakie, just let me know when you are ready to get a set made. Much like David with your putter we can do ANYTHING you want. Plus if you dont know exactly what you need I will gladly run through the fitting with you and we will figure it out.

Hopefully JHR can post pics of the topline. Unfortunetly I dont have the clubs anymore. Keep in mind that we can make the topline thicker or thinner whatever you want we will do!

We refinished his Vokeys in the same Black finish as his Scratch irons. Once he tries the irons I am sure the wedges will be next on his list!

Ari and Scratch golf make the BEST irons and wedges in the business! And yes, they DO play as good as they look!

Thanks again Ari, i will add a few topline pic's. And yes Ari did do that Vokey and a few more, i do also have a 52* and 60* Scratch Wedges, i have ones with the S on them though, but i really wanted the cursive letters, i like that much better.

We make all of our clubs in all of our many different finishes. So you can get any Blades, CBs or wedges in ANY finish. :tongue:

 

Here are a few pics of our CBs. They are forged from the same soft 1018 carbon steel as our custom wedges and will be handground into and shape, grind and specs you want.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here are a few more pics of some Tour Blades like JHRs. These all start out as the same exact raw head and are ground into whatever the customer wants. As you can see we can do quite a few different muscle shapes with this blade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is a neat pic of a very custom wedge we recently made for a customer. Definetly a one of a kind!

All those wedges are really nice Ari, i got exactly what i wanted, a clean traditional blade with the Black finish, they are just what the way i expected them to be.

 

Here are the wedges that i have that are the same finish but not the same stampings.

I can not answer to how the finish will last on these irons, as i have not had the opportunity to hit them yet. I had Ari 3XB a Spin Milled Vokey as well as the Raw that is in this thread, that finish started to wear rather quickly, a few swings and the finish was starting to wear. I don't mind the appearance of it, but it did not stay Black very long. I will add some before and after shots of the SM on Friday.

 

To answer your question, after market Black finish has not lasted very long, but the most signs of wear are obviously on the sole and face, where they contact the ground and ball. The rest of the head has maintained its finish.
