What driver shaft should I be trying?

I am currently using the Tour AD DI 70x , and I am looking to try a new shaft. Swing Speed with Driver is around 122. What shafts would you recommend for me to give a go? Thanks in advance

Less static loft on your driver or a lower spinning driver head.

I'm playing a TS3 9.5 head turned down to 8.75.

Thought about picking up a TS4. I just saw the review for the new left dash TXG did. I may have to give that ball a go. Thanks for the help.

It will be easier/cheaper to try a new ball first... You've already got a low lofted head, so after that maybe see if you can demo a TS4 head to head vs TS3 that you have. Changing shaft is such a crap shoot... If you like how ad di feels, going to a "low launch" shaft may introduce other issues and may not even lower flight that much.

Agree with what’s been said already. I view the golf shaft as more of a timing mechanism. Certain shafts can really throw off feel and tempo, but I don’t believe they have a dramatic impact on flight. Many tests have been done online comparing the weakest shafts head-to-head against the stiffest and there’s almost no difference. The club head plays a far larger role in ball flight dynamics, and the golf ball is a big player as well. I’ve changed balls before and had my apex jump up a full 10y immediately.

Outside of that, it’s going to be technique. If you’re saying you use an 8.75* TS3 with a low spin golf ball, and the DI 7X is a mid to low shaft, and you’re still launching it too high, then go get lessons because it’s the Indian not the arrow.

HAHAHA it's definitely the Indian! Always is. I like the feel of the tour ad di, but I wish it was a little softer in the hands/mid like my nippon 120TX iron shafts. any suggestions of other shafts I could try?

If you like the feel but wish it was a little softer in the butt section then you can always try the DI 6X. Another good option would be Tensei Pro White. You won’t have any launch/spin issues with that shaft and it’s a softer butt-section shaft.

I have hit Tensei white, and I do like it! Just wanting to get a solid list of stuff to try for my demo day next month :).

Hzrdus T1100 6.5 - great shaft for a high swing speed.

Can also try Fuji Pro 2.0 Tour Spec. Fuji is known for having a pretty smooth feel.
