OEM Golf Club Discounts

With the Covid-19 Pandemic, sales of Golf Clubs have been non-existent for the past couple of months. It appears to me that not much is going to change until late June or July. Since there is abundant supply and limited demand, what kind of discounts might we see in late summer or early fall. Any thoughts?

I don’t know what you are talking about, I’ve never ordered more golf stuff than the last couple months. Plus, most manufacturers are impacted by local stay-at-home restrictions, so they aren’t able to fulfill orders on their normal schedule (or at all). So I’m not sure why they’d want to pile up more orders.

It seems that discounts are passed through various promotions such as trade-in bonuses or buy a driver get a hybrid. I doubt there is much of a direct discount.

OEM's discount non-current products and offer incentives. Plus some offer military/first responder/etc. discounts. But, it'd be a slap directly in the face of retailers if OEM's decided that their MAP pricing structures don't apply to themselves.

Agree. I think OEMs will take the promotion based approach, so not a direct discount, but could be some great deals out there if you want whatever comes as part of the promotion.
